Thank you vm for your kind comments and for reporting those bugs. I already fix them as i am working on a more sucessful demo with GUI during the fight, chimera visual during his creation, skills, additional parts and so on. Sharing it after the jam of course.

Regarding those bugs, time was running out. This prototype is not polished in any way. I lost too much time thinking about the concept and how to implement my ideas. It is all about game jam :)

I ammmmm tooooo fasttttt tooooo writeeeeeeee :) I rated your creation (sorry for the bad joke)

Rated done Jus Liu. And you deserve it.

Wow! I did all the four chapters with a great pleasure. Lot of smart ideas  and you created a really nice music. At the moment, this is my favorite sub. Congrats!

Just a question as you wrote that you did not have the time to make the ending scene. But you submited your creation a week before the deadline. I am frustrated, I want to see your vision for this scene :)

I am just wondering can you really escape the thief? Because picking this choice seems not working at all. And damn, this guy is as fast as Yohann Diniz. :)

At first sight, it is obvious that you did a lot for this demo. In terms of assets and so on. I appreciate that you include a mini map. I also appreciate that you don't give too much indication to the player. Recent games don't trust the player enough. And last but not the least the music... A groovy one! Did you create it?

Done Neon! :)

Amazing artistic direction! What an atmosphere!

Difficulty progression is unfortunately not well balanced for me. The last level is difficult compared with the previous ones, quite easy.  In addition I was not able to look up and down (did I miss something?)

With a better difficulty curve progression, more detailed animations for the avatar, more features and levels. You can make a commercial game with such concept (i can imagine buying it)

Rate done Florian. My brain is overheating :)

Relaxing and smart puzzle game! Another nice entry.

Thank you Florian.

As you notice, I have not had the time to implement all the parts, skills and so on. I well know the bug you encountered. I am upgrading the prototype in order to make it more successful. Release is planned at the end of the jam.  In the game page you can have more details on what is available or not. Thank you again for trying my creation and taking time to provide me with feedbacks. Appreciate it a lot.

The game is well polished and charming. I love the art. This builder is really relaxing for sure. Can you lose if all the inhabitants are "stunned"? Nice entry!

GG for your first game Etemeh.

Sharing his first creation is always a great accomplishment! Especially since  you succeeded on publishing during a game jam. It can be a hard time to accept being judged for his artistic work. But that's it, you are a new game dev! Congrats.

Deal :)

Check my comments on your game sub's page.

Find my comments at the game sub's page. I have already rated your game :)

Done :)

This is how we should learn waves during physics lessons. This is more playful and enjoyable! This is a new form of puzzle serious game.

Good atmosphere especially thanks to the lightning level design. You should use this feature to add an infiltration scope to your game. The pace seems a little too slow to me. Avatar walking animation is missing. But i guess it is all about time. Anyway this game is well done with 3 levels and a smart difficulty progression, no major bug detected (it is just a detail but the space key is not responding at the end).

Thank you for playing!

As the level is unique, i did not think that players would play it that much. My initial idea was to change a bit the stage design and the boss for each levels (i haven't had enough time to do so, creating the design, the drawing, the animations, the boss concept and so on  took me a while).

The prototype is for sure far from polished and finished. Thank you to report me those bugs. At the end of the jam you will be able to test a more succesful game with more parts, bugs fixed, skills and so on.

A totally on-theme puzzle game. He took me a few minutes to understand what to do. I was trying to leave then I found data from your game menu. And so, I was able to solve the puzzle. Well done, well polished, no bug detected. Just one thing turning me mad. The avatar repeating her "madness" sentence. Until I found the F key :) thanks to the main menu information (i guess you design this on purpose).

Thank you for your time and comments!

You are right, depending on parts, some animations are different. Futhermore, additional skills (and their dedicated animation) are also unlocked.  At the end of the jam a more successful demo will be shared.

I am not aware about collision boxes issue. Thank you to share your feedback. Player's damaging area is just right in front of him. Where the sword slashes. This area is may be too small.  I need to check this feature.

Simple, precise, well polished, a nice entry for sure. Love your work on the UI in general. In particular the buttons (normal/focused) and the great idea regarding the dialog panel effect to indicate the avatar turns hungry/crazy. This prototype is missing one thing to me. A music to support the mood.

Thank you so much for your kind words.

I tried my best in order to create the most possible advanced prototype. Wasting too much time thinking about the game concept, I wasn't able to implement all the parts or skills, to polish the prototype and so on. Unfortunately, few bugs are still there and a few collision boxes are missing. Thank you to report me this specific issue.

FYI: at the end of the jam, I am gonna share a more successful prototype.

This game reminds me the astro's playroom. Funny and beautiful. Thinking that you did all the features and assets in 9 days... Wow, that's a challenge. Great job for sure. (FYI, I already rated your game 9 days ago without leaving any comments, here they are ;) )

Thank you so much Ian.

The web version suffers from lags at start of the fight. I guess the problem is related to the creation for the first time of the particle effects. A possible solution is to create them at start of the game. But if so, it takes a while to launch it.

Wow impressive, you are so fast!

If you have feedback regarding the prototype. I am eager of reading comments (the bad too). This is the only way to improve :) Thank you for your rating.

Hi jammers,

This week, I have time to try and rate your game. Thank you to link your submission.

My game: https://itch.io/jam/acerola-jam-0/rate/2582895

2 versions available (windows and web). The web one is a bit laggy during fight so for a better experience please try the windows one. I hope you will enjoy as much as i did during the creation.

At the end of the jam, I update the prototype with all the missing parts, the skills and so on for the jammers you want more :)

Hello,

My submission: https://itch.io/jam/acerola-jam-0/rate/2582895

You can play both a brwoser version and a win one. Please try the windows one if the web version suffers lag during fight.

Hello,

Here is mine: https://itch.io/jam/acerola-jam-0/rate/2582895

Browser version is a bit laggy during fight. For a better experience please try if you can the windows version. :)

Gracias!

Thank you very much. You get it, i am , indeed, wistful of those games.

You can install linux on windows. I never try to do so. But it seems to work regarding tutorials on the web. Search "linux on windows" for more info.

Unfortunatly, the web version suffers from lag during the first second of the boss fight. I guess this is due to the particle effects. A downloadable version is available if you want to plenty enjoy the demo.

Regarding the menu, I gave tips in the description to help the player. Because I have not had enough time to include a lighting for the computer screen (In order to clearly indicate the interaction).

The player can unlock up to 4 skills using dedicated mods. As i mentionned, time was running out , so no mods which unlock skills are implemented (my bad). I took a lot of time (too much for sure) thinking about this concept, the mods and their bonus.

By the way, you can also jump. Control the height of your jumps by releasing the key.

For the music, you can turn it off thanks to the options menu. You can also reduce the combat sound effects, the ambiant effects and the master volume. For this latter, using + and - keys allow you to control the volume. I am sad.. I try my best whitling the theme. (But ok, i admit it, this is weird :). But this is aberration gamejam.)

Thank you vm  for your time, giving me a nice and detailed feedbacks. That's really helpful.

Sorry to read that. Can you try to swith opengl to directx. As i am using gpu particles effects, I guess this is the root cause of your problem.

In addition, only a windows version is available. I can create a linux one easily totally similar to the win one. I dont know if this could help you to try the game. Tell me if you want to try this. I will ask for this possibility with Acerola.

You can not unlock this mod. Codes were already done but I runned out of time to create the dedicated animations. I listed the available mods in the description for the prototype. Sorry for this inconvenience. I should have put a clear message within the demo. Thank you for your kind words.

Me too! Unfortunatly I haven't had time to add more. I submitted my prototype 1 minute before the end. All parts are already coded. But no time to draw all the dedicated animations. Thank you for your feedback. Kill Bill... what a movie!
