Feels like you fall way too fast, and as someone already pointed out: invincibility frames. Bats are death right now.

Invincibility frames, my friend... Please give me some invincinbility frames! Once I get hit, I'm prety much doomed.  Haha! Also, The music is way too loud and the Start button in the main menu as some contrast issues. But on the other hand, the graphics are really nice. Keep it up, friend!

I liked the game. Unfortunality I died at the first bat as it came to fast and I had no change. Then starting from the begin was to frustrating for me as the precise jumping over the traps with those controls were so grmfplflgrrr. :-)

I suggest to have attack on space as then I could run and jump and attack with one hand at the same time. So it's to hard.

I'll admit I didn't quite get through the whole thing, as the controls (as others have mentioned) were just too tough for me to get around.  I gave it a good ten minute go, though, so here's a few direct notes:
-Controls are first priority in a platformer.  In the future, look into interpolating the player velocity rather than setting it directly, and unless you're going for super-tight controls, give the player some momentum in the air when they jump.
-As has been said, the player iFrames are almost non-existent, leading to some situations it just didn't seem I could get out of (being juggled by a crab-thingy was a highlight.  Well done, crab-thingy.)
-In a game like this, giving the player either a camera they can look down with, or making pits you can fall down and survive have visible bottoms from the platform above, are both excellent choices.  Players want to know where they're going, contrary to how fun "leap of faith"s seem to us making the game.  We already know what's down there, they don't.

Overall a great first-time effort, excellent job finishing the jam and getting a playable game into our hands.  Thanks for making it!

Weird movement, but I kind of liked it. The enemy AI had some issues, and certain enemies were difficult to hit. The player needs more invincibility frames, sometimes when you get hit by an enemy or spikes, they hit you repeatedly until you're dead. There were drops where you couldn't see the bottom, which killed you when you jumped in, while others didn't, which is confusing and frustrating. The art was very good. Overall, it's a good game with some parts that are more annoying than hard, but nothing major that stopped me from playing the game and reaching the treasure at the end.
