Game Description
Control traps to hit knight, make him swear and turn him into gold because of his sins.

How does your game tie into the theme?
In a faraway land, an old legend accompanies the life of the brave knights: "A true Hero is always pure and polite". Some say that who violates this law ends up becoming a statue...especially under the divine gaze.

Great submission! I loved the art and how the knight changes whenever you die, also the curse was hilarious lol. I did run into some issues with the puzzle elements though, I wasn't sure how to move the knight statues to place them on pressure pads, or maybe I was going about the game wrong? I was able to see a lot of the game though as the movement allowed for me to make some pretty nasty jumps and skip puzzle parts. Even though I didn't play the right way I still found the game quite fun from a jumping puzzle perspective :) Please let me know how to beat level 2 though properly, i am curious.

Developer

Thank you!
We’ve seen people pull off lots of insane skips, we are already working on a post-jam update to fix this and the perspective issues.
For level 2 and a couple others, mind that after being hit you can move for a moment, before turning to gold.

Really liked how you used the wildcards for this one. It reminds me of an old online game where other player's had to choose to kill their one-life character to allow other players to climb to a common goal. Good job on the puzzle's and I do like the isometric style and water shader. That said, it was visually a little too overwhelming for me to look at sometimes and I lacked some depth perception which would've helped for the platforming. Great job tho. Keep it up!

Was a little confused on the timing aspect at first but it eventually made sense. Making a bridge of knights is quite an interesting concept lol

The game looks great, unfortunately I don't understand how to open the door. Was it intentional that you jump on the other person's head at the beginning?

Developer

Thank you! Yes, using statues to reach higher places is part of the core mechanics

And what's about opening the door?

Developer (1 edit)

The dark grey round things are pressure plates… I don’t want to spoil too much

Submitted(+1)

Thank you! I hadn't realised at first that they were printing plates. I also didn't realise at first that when you die you leave behind statures that you need for climbing. It was a bit counter-intuitive. But once I understood it, it was easy to play.

I liked the art but it was really bright which made it a bit hard to navigate for me.  Love the idea and sounds.

The level design is very well done, and the isometric art is very beautiful.

Good job! :D

a fun mix between puzzle, plattformer and exploration, with a cool twist - and a nice artstyle. Its a bit unusual to have a small period before you actually die, but I guess its necessary for the puzzles to work

Simple but interesting puzzle gimmick. I like this type of puzzle games.

I also liked small details like the colour of the hero changes every time I die. Well done!

P.S. I liked the sfx when the character dropped into the water. It was not the "splash!!" I expected.

Really polished game with an awesome concept!

I loved the artistic choice of the minimal style that makes the affordances and various traps placed in the levels understandable; unfortunately, the character controller makes movement in some sections really tricky.

I really appreciated that, given the structure of the levels, it allows, in some cases, to be able to reach the objective in different ways, which makes the experience more enjoyable and personal by not feeling forced to proceed following a preset path, but rather giving me the opportunity to try different approaches.

The music running along with the gameplay is very fitting and I did not find it in any way redundant or tiring, good job.

love the concept, very creative puzzler! I agree with many of the other comments that the perspective made it hard to navigate the levels at times, but super impressed by how many levels there are for a game jam! well done!!

Neat isometric look and soothing music.

I like the concept, it could be really great to be able to rotate the camera in some way. I got stuck many times because I couldn't see my player.

The concept is really cool. The isometric look is super neat, although it does make it a bit hard to gauge what is going on sometimes.
