I liked it? LOL. Music super-chill. Aesthetically it could use some upgrades (like any texture on the plane), but even if it was a happy accident, playing Were They a True Hero? made me opine how much I actually love being overpowered in a game. Loved watching my gold count go up as I relatively did nothing except plop down easily affordable towers, and watching the chaos of suppressing whatever revolution was happening. Good experience!

Well, it was playable, mostly without bugs and even made fun.  Sadly, once you have placed a second tower, the core gameplay loop collapses and you don't have to do anything else because two towers are already completely sufficient to eliminate any incoming enemies. Nevertheless it was a nice little game and I hope you keep going, since - like the previous comments already said - it is a nice foundation to build on!

really cool assets, pretty solid tower defense for a game jam. i do wish there was more variety in towers and enemies, and as a previous comment mentioned there really was none of that difficulty or resource management that tower defense games usually have. i enjoyed myself nonetheless, great work!

I agree this is a good foundation.  While I think the hit sounds aren't the best choice for a long playthrough, but for the length of the experience they had me chuckling the whole time.  I also wanted the enemies to be easier to see and/or zoom in more.  I still had fun and could see playing more after it's fleshed out more; keep up the good work!

Got a solid start there. The fundamentals of a tower defense game are there you just need to dial it all in. Tower defense is about the balance between your resources and the difficulty of the level. You only had one wave and I was never worried about resources. There is a moment in the beginning where you only have one tower and are worried you might not get enough money before the enemies make it past that tower but you just make it and place the 2nd tower, beating back the line and getting a breather. That is what you are chasing as your peak tension. You never got back there for me.

All its going to take a time and balance of the enemies and cash they give. More tower choice helps as well.

Thanks for the game
