The story part was nicely done. I wasnt sure if there was only tutorial level at the moment and it felt also not finished.

I felt it little difficult to get my hits to hit for the enemy. It felt that there was just certain spot you and the enemy needed to be that the enemy would take hit. Maybe bigger hitbox or somehting to make it feel more intuitive.

For first jam game it had potential but maybe a little too big to start.

Fun entry, the platforming was pretty good, it's a bummer you ran out of time for the actual metamorphosis but that's how these things go.  Keep at it and you'll get better each time (though you'll need to resist making bigger games!).

I liked how attacking worked, it was like I had spike shield which is cool.  Having some effect when you took damage would be helpful.  Initially I didn't realize I was getting hurt since I wasn't looking at my health.

Having the intro was awesome, but I'd definitely have a way to skip it.

You might try desaturating the background, all the colors are on the bright and saturated side so you have to think about what the platforming surface is.

These are just some ideas for next time, or if you continue working on this.  Regardless, great job!

Hi! Thank you for the comment! I wanted to make a cinematic for the metamorphosis, but I needed to make another things more important than the cinematics. About the sound, I was running out of time and add sounds in 30 minutes would be a nightmare. This is my firts jam, and I see the really difficult of make a short and good game. Thanks for the idea of making a "skip button", I really didn't think about it. And I saw that the background was saturated, but I didn't think a good idea of how to fix it in a short time. Thanks!

Nice little game, and pretty impressive as a first. I love the intro (wish I could make that in my own).

Sadly, I wasn't able to make any attack work on those nasty bugs running around, and I kept dying horribly.

So, never went past the tutorial...and it's a shame, because I wanted to know what happened in the lab!

If you have any tip forme, I'll gladly try it out.

En tout cas bien joué, et rendez-vous pour le prochain !

Hi! Thanks for playing the game and comment!!  :D   I appreciate your help. About the attack, is because we(PonkiDev and Creppy250) couldn't make a better game or fix bugs. This is our first jam and make a game in 9 days is difficult for us. We finished the game 30 minutes before time was up.

One tip I can give you is to hold the attack button before the enemy gets close and release it only when you've already eliminated it. Also, I owe you an apology, because it is not obligatory to kill ALL the bugs. You can skip 1 or 3 in a level and nothing will happen. Just make sure you grab ALL the green potions that are "hidden" in the level. These are essential, otherwise you won't have enough M.P at the end of the level. There are enemies like the frog, the muscle beetle and the bee that CANNOT be killed.

Bottom line: If an enemy is hard for you, ignore it and find all the potions in the level. If you get stuck, hit the "retry" button or just skip the level.

Thanks for your comment, I REALLY appreciate constructive criticism as this experience of making a game in 9 days is challenging. :)

You're welcome! And you don't owe me any appology, delivering a game in such a small amount of time is indeed challenging.

I'll try with the tip you provided, I'll see if I can make it work this way.

Nice game for you first entry! I liked the story elements and the platforming was pretty fun! Nice submission

Developer

Thank you! The platforming was a very difficult part, because we have to make a good gameplay. I'll play your game!

Congrats on your first entry!

Awesome opening cinematic - explains the plot and game premise well, I like it much better than a description under the game. Well done! If there was some audio, it would be even better.

Impressive amount of content, with so many levels - even the tutorial level was quite long. I would maybe cut down the amount of content and focus more on polishing - especially adding some sound effects and background music.

On level 1 I encountered some invisible walls - I think that was some enemy, as I was killed when standing on it. I think that was a bug (as in an insect, but also a game bug :D).

Cheers!

Hey! Thanks for the tips. The cinematics were made (the most) by Creppy250. We both think the LORE and he made the most of the sprites. We search for No-Copyright music and sound effects, but we finished the game 30 MINUTES before the end of the time, so we didn't have time. Thank you for the comments, I'll play your game and write a comment also! About the invisible walls, I really don't know what happened there :/  But thanks!
