Love the idea but it was sooooo hard! At least for me, I really struggled because I’d buy a magnifying glass then go to rotate but that, of course, cancels, so I get screwed a lot. I think the closest I could get was 20 goblins left but the enemy towers outpaced so quickly. I also think adding some incentive for making a squirrely path would have added an interesting layer of depth, maybe they get stronger as they go? Right now there isn’t much strategy, it’s mainly luck. With a little balancing, I can see this being really fun, keep it up!

Developer

Hey. Thanks for playing and I'm glad you find the idea interesting. As we noted in previous comments we didn't have much time to balancing. I had few ideas to make gameplay more "Fare" and "Interesting" but it sounds pretty boastful right now as we didn't have time to implement it)

You know it's fun if you can't put it down till you beat it! For me that mean spamming restart until I could clear a path without spending a fortune on the magnifying glass. That didn't feel right- but us goblins don't have time for your rules, we have gold to gobble.
Mimics being towers didn't feel right- I think it would be better if you just discovered that that rock was indestructible or something.

Thanks for playing and your constructive criticism. But yeah, we don't have a lot of time to think and test game's loop, so some holes would be here and there.
We thought about making mimics just indestructible stones, but it felt just dull so we ended up with tower mimics.

So tragic seeing my cute goblin minions die haha

reverse-tower defense concept is cool, but the game was really difficult and it took me 3 attempts to understand how it works

Developer

Hey. Thank you for trying it out. Yeah we intended the game to be challenging :)

This game was really difficult for me. I failed this game so spectacularly. The "furthest" I got was 7 waves left and I still had 50 goblins to get through. I bought as many magnifying glasses as I could afford and still make a path through, but there were just so many towers everywhere. Any tips on how to succeed?

Developer(+1)

Hi. Thanks for playing our game. Well, magnifying glass is usefull, but there is no point to spam it too often. Maybe save some money for Dynamite as it can explode tower and mimic tower. Also making path as small as possible even through mimics stone is also good idea

Thanks for the tips! I'll give it another go. :)
