Good first attempt at a game jam 💪! Fun to play and collect all the items and gems and see the character evolve.

Gameplay
Nice that you had different upgrades for your character and could only use one at a time. Also that your character evolves is a fun touch. Seen in devlog that you made everything in terms of gameplay yourself. That's definitely admirable 😀!

Some small tips though: I forgot to right-click every time to rotate the camera. In many games that just happens automatically when you move your mouse. Maybe something to try. And the camera also can end up behind walls and obstacles. That's tricky programming in a first Jam of course, but Unity Cinemachine has some tricks you might want to check out or maybe use in another game.  

The bonus in terms of items like the sword and staff I would maybe exaggerate a bit more so that you really go much faster and jump higher.

Oh and I was able to get to the chalice before I even had all the gems because of a glitch through the door...😅 

Graphics
Coherent low poly style that looked very cute.  That you actually see the items on your back and on the shrine is a neat plus. Some extra particle effects would add some extra polish. A minor tip to make the game more unique on download. A custom .exe icon.

Audio
Catchy old style retro background music. Decent sound effect for jump etc. Some more variations would be bonus next game.

Theme
Upgrading your character with items and also the physical appearance enhancement fit well with the theme.

Cool that you did it in a video form! Your explanation of what you like about making games is well expressed in it and also how the week went and what you encountered in terms of problems and solutions. Good devlog.

The right-click to move the camera was something that I originally implemented when I was planning on a more top down view of the world and then changed my mind, but forgot to go back and change the input on the camera movement.

I had an absolute blast building the game for this Jam and really appreciate you taking the time to play it and give me so much constructive feedback.

I love it, that Skull model is so perfect a want a 3d print of that character XD

The game was really nice, the graphic style and the gameplay to use each thing to enhance yourself and later enhance the world, really nice one.

Good level design.

I will report you a bug, i get the sword and was trying to get the blue gem jumping on the stones in a moment i felt down nearly to a rock and before that i cant jump again, my luck or i crash it maybe e.e XD

honestly took a few tries to figure out i could only carry one thing at a time and had to drop stuff off at the shrine, but once it clicked i was able to complete the game no problem. I really like the theme of restoration and was very pleasantly surprised when i noticed what was happening to the character. 

One thing, idk if it's just with the sword but i was able to get to the chalice before picking up any gems. I also kinda wish the sword movespeed was the default movespeed, character moves pretty slow to me. There's something to making the player pick the right tool for the job, but I think it would've been more fun to move around if you just let us build up abilities, like having the sword and staff to maybe glide longer, that kind of thing.

Congrats on getting a full complete experience done, it really is a big deal and you should be proud :)

Thank you so much for playing my game and for all of the feedback! I agree that the movement speed was kind of slow and is something I will fix if I continue to work on the game. When I first started working on the game the plan was to have a larger separate area for each gem and allow the player to pick a weapon/boost they preferred to play through each area. When I started running low on time and downsized the game I didn't go back and change the mechanic to stacking the boosts which would have probably made more sense for the size of the game.

I enjoyed playing your game, but unfortunately I encountered a nasty bug due to which I could not pick up any items on the level, except for crystals. After restarting the game, I realized that these items could be picked up and went through the game. I liked the idea of a game with a gradual transformation and the inability to go to certain areas already transformed into a person.

Hmm, i'll try. So at the start i was going to the corner, where blue crystal is on a rock, i tryed jump to it couple times and then goes to the yellow crystal in the spikes. I returned it to the center and then i tryed to pick up red staff, that floating near the center and i just goes through it. At first i though that i can't pick it up by the purpose, but it looked so pickupable :D so after i died at the trap and restarted the game items started to pick up. So i can't really provide more specific, may be it was button mashing stuff that glitched the game, i don't know
