A fun take on the theme! The maze, where you essentially had to follow the other character, was a nice little puzzle. Although the second one was a bit long and you had to redo all when failing.
The black and white with an accent color was, of course, a simple choice for the palette, but it’s within the rules—and it looked stylish with the characters and had a good vibe.
Unfortunately, there was no music or sound effects. Adding those would have been a great bonus for enhancing the atmosphere.
This was a fun little jam entry—well done! 😊
I liked the puzzles in this game! There was a point in the 2nd level where I started to get nervous because the level kept going on and on. Very cool concept! I would've liked to hear some music and maybe some sound effects for the buttons or walking. Also would be cool to see more of the palette, but having just black and white, and red for the buttons fits the art style pretty well so I wouldn't change much. Again, very cool game, enjoyed it alot!
Cool concept, some sound and music would be welcome but i understand time is the enemy of a gamejam.
I had to chuckle a bit when it said "be careful of the white tile" because at that moment i just had played the white chararacter yet so everything was white.
I could cheese it a little bit as white character to walk on the edge so it would reveal where you would fall trough and some of the buttons were pressable from across the gap. But a nice game for a 10day jam
I gotta hand it to you. I really appreciate there being a run button. The main characters are kinda cute in a surrealist way, too! The color blending concept has been done by other games, but you really make it work in 3D. I do wish there was sound, and I can agree about the pacing being a bit slow as others mentioned.
In my opinion, the game would flow best if the black character walking over the light floor tiles caused those tiles to turn black.
I like the minimalistic art style and the idea. It fits together well. I was a little frustrated when I fell at the end of the second level and had to start over. Personally, it is just too long.
I don't know if it is intended or not but you can trigger buttons twice to change their state again. This was kinda confusing when the white character stood in front of the button and you did not see if it was pressed or not. I trapped it multiple times and it was always "still red". Also, I am missing footsteps and ambient sound.
I think the idea has a lot of potential and I will try it again at some point to finish it. good work.
I probably didn't make it as obvious as it should be. In the 2 level you only need to activate buttons which turn black in the black world. And i totally forgot about sounds until it was about an hour before submission period ends. But thanks for the feedback anyways
NICE IDEA
thanks
