Really fantastic little piece. Note to dev: there is a typo at the end game screen, "Exempt" should be "Excerpt"
beatifull
Amazing game love it.
Such a good atmosphere and I loved the visuals!
the encyclopedia search mechanic makes the game feel much bigger than it is, which I really love. having the rune noted down for me was also a great QOL mechanic. the experience was short but intense. honestly reminded me of why I love indie PC games so much. amazing job :)
I love how this game is inspired in misterious ancient civilizations, because even though there are a lot of wonders from the past, some enigmatic features and arthefacts might result highly uncanny: specially if you find yourself alone with one of them in the dark... And this game translates that emotion perfectly, specially for those who admire arqueology.
This game creates the perfect ambience it needs to create an eerily wonderful experience. It is an outstanding representation of an archeologist (an those professionals would love the game too), and definitely invites players to wait for high expectations for the continuation.
I am not really into the horror genre, yet I understand that a final climax of the experience with the creature would've been the cherry on top (as it has been mentioned by others), nevertheless, I understand the possible limitations that a jam demands if it was not enough time to show the design of the beast (however, I also respect cretive choices too), but considering the quality of the artstyle and the overall game, I am sure that the creator would've presented a worthy demonic entity to the conclusion; in that case, I would not doubt a second to give 5 stars.
Congratulations, I consider this game a short but beautiful gem!
Honestly, it was kind of confusing, because I found everything, but nothing happened. It was very, very short. It's an interesting game, and has a lot of potential, but it's just not my cup of tea.
Fantastic concept and execution. Feels like wikipedia deep dives and I'm all for something I do in my freetime as a horror game. Creative and Exciting!
I loved the claymation style, the "puzzle" wasn't insanely difficult and still felt rewarding, and I always felt a sense of unease. Great job devs! <3
All around, this was a very solid puzzle game. I got a little confused with the runes, as two looked almost identical (the N and O symbols) but otherwise, this was enjoyable to play. Very nicely done.
I really liked the atmosphere and mechanics, i just wish it was longer! I found the mythology aspects and design very spooky and fun aswell.
Without exaggeration I think a game in this style has the potential to be the greatest eldritch horror game ever made. By focusing on the creeping chill of studying alone in the dark (instead of things like combat), this feels like the most faithful take on the genre! Especially as quietly studying is what usually invites madness…
5/5
Thank you!!
This game is somthing so great and breathtaking
Good job with the atmosphere and mechanics
5/5
Stunning. Just stunning. And I loved the sound design. Well, I loved everything. I love soothiing horror games
I love the clay animation and the control mechanics with the books and key words from the clay artifact. Wish it was longer or had different stories to show more discoveries on the supernatural
I had so much fun with this game!! The visuals are stunning, the music is great and I had a great time with the research mechanic. Would love to see this concept expanded.
Such a good game, I wish I could play hours of it with different statues or objects, so cool!
While all too brief, this was a wonderfully eerie experience. I think the handwriting could have been a little clearer on the note for the runes puzzle, as one letter is drawn in a way that it could be confused for a different letter of the alphabet in game. Had to write them out myself in order to fully figure out what the puzzle needed.
This honestly feels like it could be a teaser for a much larger game. More archeological based horror please. :D
??????? I LIKE THAT
I would have loved it to be a little longer, I was left wanting more, it definitely gave me goosebumps when it hatched, graphically it's wonderfull.
