The pixelated art was incredible and very pleasing to the eyes, the animations were on point, sadly some of the controllers were a bit unruly but aside from that I enjoyed the game and the sound was great as well! great job overall!
Would have loved to see some extra cues point out to directions knowing were to go, or a small tutorial.
thanks a lot for the reply! yes, the time of the jam was a problem. best for u :)
I couldn't read the text in the intro so I don't really know what the game is about. :(
It looks very nice, very cozy colors and the sprites work well together! I believe the hardest part and sadly what made it sort of unplayable for me was the controls, the character simply flies away with a click on a button and passing through a door becomes more difficult than actually beating the enemies. :/
I loved the smooth camera, it does a lot for a game to not just attach the camera to the player and the player always stays centered - the movement speed is however an issue here as well since the camera isn't able to catch up with the player who can run out from view some times.
Other than the movement issue, I think you got a nice looking game. :D
I had no idea what this was about as I accidentally clicked through some of the dialog in the car scene at the start. I see now what it was about from the comments below.
I played it full screen and the movement of the girl was extremely fast - about 4 times too fast.
Clever idea - a shame I didn't catch on to it while playing due to the click through.

Super interesting choice of historical subject - the music made it really creepy - which I think was the effect intended?
Yes, movement was a little fast, but good to go through the level.
Great!
thanks! yes that was the idea whit the music.. also are some other tracks but the time wasnt enought. thanks again for reply!
Interesting choice of subject matter. Not a lot of games about hippies in this Jam. I don't know if it was intentional, but I like the pun of "mansion" / "mason", the player controls were waaaaay too fast though, it was hard to fit through doors. Nice job though!
I'm not sure I understand the historical context correctly.
As for the gameplay, I think you did a great job implementing an effectful camera, but the movement felt very imprecise.
Pixel art is great! Some things that I should point out are:
Other than that, great job!
Great visuals ! I didn't get what part of History it is...
It makes me feel uncomfortable but I think it's the goal here ! Music and sounds are really great, but the music didn't loop.
The only negative thing I have to say about the gameplay is that targets are difficult to hit. Otherwise, controls are great !
It wasn't entirely clear, but I'm assuming from what parts are there that this is about the Manson murders? I felt "unclean" playing it and killing the (I assume) innocents, and I guess that is what you were going for, so in that way you really succeeded. The music didn't loop and the targets were hard to hit sometimes, but I really liked the sprite work. The main character moves really smoothly.
