Thematic Relevance
The game features the missions of two people:

Mary Jane Richards, an African American enslaved woman, who worked as a servant in the Confederate White House. She was literate and had the ability to remember almost everything she heard and read.

Timothy Webster, a man born in England and immigrated to the United States, went undercover into Confederate Army Camps to gain information about their armies. He was also, unfortunately, the first spy to be hung during the War. May he rest in peace.

Two spy adventures when you only go looking for one.

This game really put me in the shoes of a spy doing different kinds of assignments over time.

I liked the navigation indicators. They helped immensely when it comes to knowing where to go, especially with the number of colliders in the way. A minimap or additional aid would only make it that much smoother, but for a jam game, this is great. The core gameplay of going from point A to B to C to D is a bit tedious, but that’s a field agent for you. Add in a few variations of gameplay, and it would be legitimately awesome. My main gripe while playing was that accursed Tab button. Just couldn’t get used to needing to reach for it each time.

Very impressed by your team for what you’ve pulled off. The book cases, the rug, fire pits, and gun stash were nicely drawn.

Thanks for participating in HAGJ9!

The game has a lot of character. It's clear that you put a lot of work into designing the layouts of the maps and into the game assets. It felt like the collision boxes on a lot of items were too larger, this caused me to get stuck on scenery and on doors. Maybe the stakes could have been raised a bit by having to avoid guards ect whilst trying to get out of the area. Just to up the difficulty a bit. Good entry.

The game is simple and straightforward in what you're doing! I wish there was more sound design to it, and moving was a little clunky. It runs very well though, and I found the first mission to be simple and enjoyable.

This game is full of personality! The gameplay is simple and a little rough at times, but I really love the visual style.

Nice of you two include two missions with two distinct settings as well.

After some walking and talking the mission was complete. Not very hard. It was fun reading about Mary and Timothy. Very interesting history.

Developer

The game is not very difficult to play, but I think that focusing on the stories of Mary and Timothy was a higher priority. These people risked their lives to serve their country (Timothy paid with his life, RIP Timothy).  I did think about implementing some features that would make it feel more risky and "spy-like", however I unfortunately didn't have much time left to think of any let alone implement them. Thank you so much for your feedback!
