Great job. Sounded great (even the sound effects), looked great (loved the animations), and was a solid entry. Excellent work.

Hi,

At first glance it looks like a nice game overall.

But, as I play the game, I think the cost of the upgrades are too expensive compared to the money earned. It took me a like a few days to get enough for a grill upgrade. Then few days more for the old tv. Which I think is ok but after that the cost for another tv upgrade rise significantly to 3000+.

At the end of day 14, I have 728 golds, grill upgrade x1, old tv and the lampshade, which I'm not sure if it has any effect on the gameplay.

I think it's either we can earn more per day, or the cost of upgrade probably need to be adjusted a little. It can be more fun and less repetitive that way. At day 14 I think I see increased in the pace of the game. But I did catch on this bug or maybe a feature, I don't know.

If I had a customer seated at the table near the front wall [1] already ordered food, then I place another customer at the table near the kitchen [2], which have not ordered food yet, when I click on the table of customer 1, to serve the food, somehow if customer 2 has the same order as customer 1, then the server will serve customer 2.  So, I'll need to wait for new food from the kitchen to serve to customer 1.

Since so far, the customers are really good and did not mind waiting, I guess it is ok. Because I have this one time customer 1 have to wait for 2 rounds of order before getting the food. It might get frustrating if this happened and the customer decides to leave.

Aside from that, I think this is a solid game. Good job team!

I'm going to continue to play for a bit. :D

Man i Love Penguins!

Hey team,

I would like to congratulate on a solid submission to the jam! A very solid game without any encountered bugs or glitches.

The game works as expected and there's even a small tutorial. Well done! Everything works nicely and it's easy to play. Almost _too_ easy. I wonder if there would be a possibility to add some difficulty curve into the game? I played 7 days and it was a breeze. But of course, for a casual game it probably needs to be.

I wonder if the customers would leave if I waited too long to take an order? How about if I let the order stay on the counter too long? Maybe the customers aren't happy with a long service or cold food? I wonder if these type of things could be interesting to incorporate into the game? Also customers could have different types. Some are slower, some faster so the management part would be more important. Or possibility to buy more tables.

Anyway it seems there's a lot of opportunities to continue this game! Job very well done!

Btw: I also love the penguins! Very cute!

Cheers!

Well, the difficulty curve is in that each day the limit you have to earn goes up. I got to day 25 when I hit a "wall" which certainly was partly because of buying decorations that don't pay off or not enough.

Speaking of decorations...

The first page is clear in what you get back for them. On the third page the "add one more table" is also clear, but what do the popularity things do? And have any of the decorations from the middle page any effect?

As for bugs... I don't know if the main menu background should be fitting to the screen size or not, and there didn't seem to be an "official" Quit button...

It would also be useful if one could access the shopping window from the "day finished" screen, so one wouldn't have to first start the next day to then go to pause mode.

Solid start! I could see this going a lot of different ways.

Nice mechanic. Looks like CodeMonkey's Kitchen Game, if it is then this is a very good adaptation of that game play, if not, then even more congrats.
