Great submission! Took me a moment to figure out what I was doing but once I grasped it, I had fun. It checked all the boxes, so well done.
It’s fun and addicting. It will be nicer if you can add a bit of tutorial.
This game seems to have been made by the legendary Alexey Pajitnov.
Nice concept
Really interesting take on the Arkanood genre, the simple yet addicting gameplay gradually increases in difficulty too pretty well. Great job on this one.
I like this, and there's something special about firing a couple balls behind all the bricks and just listening to them all get nocked down.
Hey Amadeus56,
I really like your take on the Arkanoid genre! Even with the very simple elements and graphics this was an entertaining experience.
The webGL build is a bit small on high res computer, maybe crank it up a bit? :)
One thing I didn't understand. Where you get more balls? Automatically or how does that work?
I would also change the difficulty curve a bit as the game becomes almost impossible very fast with over 10 hits per block rows dropping down fast!
I am interested to see where you can take this with a bit of work on art and mechanics! Very good job!
Cheers!
The rate of balls is increased automatically over time. I deliberately made it so that you are over whelmed at some point. The ball rate is an Option that could be added to setting the Difficulty. 3000 is a good score. though I've got over 4000.
Fun, addictive gameplay with increasing challenge. enjoyable
2063, probably not a bad score. :)
This is nice and fun. Can be better with better graphics and effect.
All in all. I like it.
Yes I agree, it needs a lot more juice, but the bones are there. Everything is random so scores can vary considerably.
Nice break shooter. A tutorial at the start would be good.
I thought it's so simple once you've played it for a bit it would be clear. But yes, for completeness I should have spelled it out.
Yes, when you played it's pretty clear, but first shot need to think.
Also when you drag top you can invert aim to top also, so player can aim with any side
Very interesting one, Break Out meets Tetris.
At some point I had two balls that were bouncing exactly sideways in an endless loop and I had to hit the arrow icon to terminate the game...
The lower right button is the "Next" button. It destroys any current balls and goes on to the next turn.
Well, I got a "Game Over" screen, but apparently it was just a coincidence there was one incoming that reached the finish line then...
Another thing though, going full-screen doesn't work for me, it shows a maximited image for a split-second and then snaps back to the smallish original size... :(
Yes, full screen is disabled. The PC version has size restrictions to keep the resizing in bounds.
So if I had a different screensize or pivot mode it could actually zoom?
My display is 2560x1600...
(And certainly no pivot mode unless I put the laptop on its side...)
It doesn't resize in WebGL but the download has a minimum and maximum size. Is the download file not resizing?
Maximizing the window for the downloaded version worked fine. :)
