Would love to see this expanded on. Really like the puzzle concept.

Game looked great loved the style!

The barrels that added additional shade and could be moved is a great mechanic to expand on.

Great job!

I liked the idea of this game. The grid movement mechanic mixed in with a variable rate of expending your energy was a fun mechanic! I really respect the intention of finishing one level to a high standard rather than have 10 levels which barely work, so good decision there! The visuals were fab, nice cohesive pixel art and good style. Would be great to have a little more animation to bring the scene to life just a tad. The barrel mechanic was good too, I can imagine some interesting puzzle design with barrels and perhaps the sun changing position midway through a level.

Thanks for taking part in the jam, we hope to see you again <3

Interesting game, could definitely be explored a lot!

I wasn't quite sure on what to do as I kept dying (but I think this is a personal issue as the title already says to stay out of the sun :) )

Nice game!

This is very relatable as summer this year has been one long heat wave in my area so far... Nice concept, nice art, definitely has potential for more puzzles! At the beginning I kept searching food other than the icecream and confused a few background elements with food items, so maybe a way to differentiate them further would be great. Once I figured it all out though it was pretty satisfying to escape the sun!

I can relate to the main character, as I'm someone who truly hates summer. :D
The pixel art is really nice. I agree it's better to have little content but polished. The text is behind the UI in "windowed" mode, but in fullscreen it's fine. Encountered an error message after dying three times. In general, nice job!

Good concept and the art was good. It was a bit confusing at first because I thought I was already in the shade, so better indication of that would really help!

Also try our game!

The art was really charming, and for a short prototype, I think it would be an interesting concept once polished further! A turn-based story game sounds pretty neat while avoiding tiles under the sun! Good job!

Hot days like this can be awful! Someone program this man an A.C.!

I liked the idea and the pixel art you made is great! I would check out the full release!

I enjoy the art a lot, and the concept. Very challenging game. Seems like a good idea for a puzzle game and is on point for the theme. Unfortunately the web version crashed once, and it seems that the camera didn't follow the player as I went off screen.

Screenshot of error message in case that helps.
