Wow, I did NOT expect Monkey Ball at all! This game is honestly SUPER polished.
While annoying at times gameplay-wise (I was never really that good at Monkey Ball), its really cool of the design to have a skip-level button and an extra bonus to those who didn’t skip any!
It is hard to control the Pufferfish at times, but was satisfying for every win I got. It definitely feels as if this was designed for controller (I think).
The speedrun-style golf design of the levels were also awesome (sometimes, I felt that you could honestly complete levels in more ways than one). I seriously can’t believe that you all fit this many levels, varied and interesting mechanics, and amount of polish into this one-week jam.
Awesome game!
Thank you for the feedback! I made sure to get to 18 levels since there are 18 holes in a golf game. (pro-builder go brrrrrrrrr) And yes, the game is definitely geared toward controller, though I wish I spent more time making keyboard and mouse a better experience.
I had a lot of fun playing this game! It was awesome to see Puffer Putt expanded into 3-D, and I thought all the different mechanics were pretty fun to engage with. Definitely had some challenging levels, but it was fun to continue trying nonetheless!
Thank you for the feedback!
This is the Puffer Putt sequel we ALL needed. The inspiration from games like Super Monkey Ball + Golf With Friends can be seen here and it works really well together gameplay and artistically. What stands out from this game is the design of each gameplay mechanic working with the pufferfish. This made each level really unique and presents their own challenges(some with too high of a difficulty spike though). The audio ties everything together with multiple quality BGMs and satisfying sounds for many states of the pufferfish. The main gameplay issue (as a mouse and keyboard player) was controlling the camera. I believe the camera was very sensitive and made levels much harder than they were. Overall, a beautiful installment into the Puffer Putt™ series!
Thank you for the feedback! It's definitely in need of a sensitivity control slider.
When I saw the cover image from the submissions page I literally yelled "THEY MADE 3D PUFFERPUTT?". This was an awesome game! I really liked the UI animations and the physics felt very fun to play with. Also, Kyle absolutely smashed it out of the park with the soundtrack as he always does(I really hope that the soundtrack gets put on soundcloud/spotifylol). The only gripe that I had with the game is that some of the levels were quite challenging, to the point where I just felt like skipping them after a few tries. Regardless, I applaud you guys for putting in as much content as you did(the funny level names were a nice touch too)!
Thank you for the feedback! I put many hours into Monkey Ball and Marble Blast, so I found it difficult to accurately judge the difficulty of some of the levels.
Very entertaining physics game, and it being web-based is a nice bonus. I don't have a controller that I can easily access, so I had to opt for the inferior mouse-and-keyboard controls, which kind of negatively impacted my enjoyment, I believe. But I still was kept super engaged throughout nearly all of the levels.
Thank you for the feedback! I do wish I spent more time tweaking the mouse and keyboard controls.
