Description
Sick beatz. Inspired by Pizza Tower’s ‘crust cove’ and ‘extra-terrestrial wah wah’s’. I interpreted the theme to mean some distant, wacky place, and I can’t mix very well hence the pianos. I reckon it fits the theme and as ambience in some wacky platformer. Not to mention, it’s high tempo as I thought this land of pianos would be upbeat.

Fun piece and it has some cool sound design!
Thank you!
Fun tune! Definitely getting the wacky vibe you were going for and some great movement through the piece with additions/subtractions of instruments.
I would echo what some of the others have said with the mixing as some parts can feel a bit contrasting and don't gel as well together as they could, but seeing as you've already mentioned you're looking more into that, that's great!
Looking forward to hearing your learnings!
Thank you!
You certainly had some interesting passages and counter melodies, it feels a bit robotic at times but you did say in the description that you were going for Alienish stuff so I guess it was the idea.
The mixing needs some work, was this made on an iPad Garage Band? If so I would advise you to click on join (mine is portuguese so not sure if the correct option) on a single track to turn it to wav :)
Take care!
Yes, it was made in GarageBand. Thank you for the advice, I’ll try it out!
Strong recommendation is to write music with a midi controller if possible - anything like a real instrument to help you practice and develop musically.
This composition is definitely fun though, I was bopping my head! Heh.
I think mix wise, it's pretty small/narrow, unless you were going for something more chiptune-esque.
Thanks for the feedback! I’m especially glad it was boppable, heh. Idk what I was going for mix wise, usually everything just sounds variably distant despite my best efforts, so sticking to one instrument (or one I know well like drums) was my attempt at making it cohesive. I should look further into mixing I think at the next jam.
There is seemingly no upload to vote on here.
Is the download not visible? I can see both it and an image
