Description
I made this for Impressions Composing Jam, it was fun, i wasted the first 2 days not knowing it existed.

abandoned city night used the spitfire audio labs strings (stock), and blocks vst (just a noise and some filters and reverb for wind) i made the artwork myself.

abandoned city day used basically the same things, but used UVI Workstation Digital Synsations for an organ sound.

Finished 2 days 1 hour before deadline.

Nice minimalistic atmospheric tracks. In the first one, I felt this sense of being lost, maybe after my boat capsized and I am in the water, or just on the shore of an unknown distant place,  thanks to the wandering and lacking a clear rhythm melodies. The second track took me to a melancholic, dark, foreboding, sad place. The drone synth pad and growling background work very well to accompany the leading strings. I liked the improvised quality of both pieces, rendering them very organic.

The improvised plucked instrument is a little off in timing in the beginning, and sound slightly random.

The second track sounds very Elden Ring inspired! Heh. It has a nice atmosphere and effect.

Great work!

Hey there nice submission! :D

I gotta say I don't know if the abrupt change was on purpose but I didn't enjoy it that muchs, the contrast between tracks i did though, a lot! Really nice composition on the night part!!

Take care :3

The contrast between day and night is really well done. The plucking in the day fills the ambiance perfectly, while the night brings a deep emotional touch with the cello. I also love the subtle low voices. The cut-off at the end feels abrupt, but in a good way—like something’s off in the atmosphere, almost as if a threat has arrived. Great job!

Nice sense of atmosphere, and it's great how you combined these free plugins pretty well to create background music that blends nicely. (I think everything on spitfire labs is free, idk lol)
The music does sort of cut off abruptly in the end of both tracks, like the cello in the nighttime theme. Just a minor thing that could easily be solved by gradually lowering the volume of the instruments/fade out.

Great work!
