Description
A submission for the Impressions Composing Jam: Special Holiday Jam hosted by KaleOverlord with the theme of "The Mountain King."
I wanted this track to perpetually get more exciting as you "climb the mountain" during the track while still ending in a climactic way. I used this jam as more an outlet to experiment with different styles and time signatures.
Hope you enjoy.

Extra points for CAT!
It's a really pretty submission, I love the melodies and the mood changes that others also pointed out. The melodies are really pretty and in general I think you were really able to convey that journey up the mountain very well
Really cool how this track progresses through different moods and intensities. Great use of the piano to drive the energy. I hear some clipping/fizzle when the piano rolls in around 1:10 but this might be some intentional record player type crackling. I really dig how the intensity grows over time, you pulled that off well!
Really liked the mood changes in this one. Kept me involved from beginning to the end. Great work!
О! One of the types of music I love ^^
1 part - creepy, bassy sounddesign.... awesome!
2 part - amazing mood change. It... inspiring?
Part 3 - Wind... and bells. Sad :>

AAAAAAAH EPIC
Oh, sorry...
4 - part - EPIC. Drums, piano and a whole stew of sounds ready to make me jump out the window and run to the mountains (They're not far away, by the way. lol)
In summary, I'd like to say cool sound design. The only remark - a little bit dull drums in the mix.... (maybe because I have a fetish for drums ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ). But still - cool job!
P.S. What time signature did you use?
I'm glad you enjoyed it so much! Drums are definitely a struggle for me when composing. I've been trying to improve some of my drum fills but i'll continue working harder on that.
The majority of the track is in 4/4 with different bpms and slightly different phrasing / emphasis on different beats. The second part is in 5/4 an briefly changes to 6/8. I didn't want to go too crazy with time signatures like I normally do so I could keep myself more focused on atmosphere. Though 5/4 is 100% my favourite time signature to compose in.
Really cool sound design!
