nice gameplay really enjoyed playing your game, are you planning to give it an update in future?

Developer

probably not, I used this jam as a way to learn some stuff i might use later on, but for this game, i don't really know.  i might use the ideas in a different project

I liked the idea and the gameplay overral wasnt that bad could be faste and could give the player more feedback but when i was playing and i got caught by the guard i restarted the game with 0 bombs wich made it impossible(i think, if there is a way and it by proposite that i had 0 bombs pls tell me)

Developer

That was a bug, that is not intended behavior. Thanks for playing tho.

Good concept but I don't feel like it was executed very well. Very little feedback given to the player about bombs, no effects when you place them, no info why you can't place a bomb somewhere. Music was alright. but the biggest problem with the game was the movement, it was very slow and felt like it stutters which made the game unpleasant

Developer

Thanks for the feedback, you are definitely right the game was slower than I had hoped, and I could have added way more juice and feedback, it is one of the things I regret I got focused on the path finding and Ai that I lost track of all the other stuff.  Thank you for playing and taking the time to give feedback

That was flippin’ ACE! Definitely one of my favourites, and spectacular stuff on the music!

nice concept and cool game

Bit slow, but I like it! The system for the guards is really unique, and I honestly like any excuse a game gives me to blow stuff up. Good work!

Developer

thank you for playing,

I love the concept of this! The pacing is a bit slow, and no sound for the bombs is a missed opportunity, but overall solid for such a short time frame.

I wish i could have added sounds effects,  I sound have just recorded my voice making explosion sounds. I spent too long making my awful music loop. sound effects would have gone a long way with the game feel...thanks for playing

nice game, a little slow

Developer

thanks for giving it try, i agree it was so slow. i was going for a rouge feel.  i could have speed that up a lot. it makes sense while i was testing. i was getting a bit annoyed as well so i would move the character to different places to speed things up, i guess that should have been a sign lol, hind sight is 20/20

The idea is really cool. The mechanic of blowing through walls was able to shine even with this few levels.
Some of the systems in place are really impressive - the enemy line of sight and behavior seemed especially complicated.

With more time, work and polish I can see this game becoming really good - might be worth it to keep working on it after the jam. Good job.

Developer

thanks, yeah my goal for the jam was to figure los / pathfinding using the tools construct had, its where i spent the bulk of my time.  i was able to learn a whole ton thanks to some great examples. there were so many bugs and edge cases i really wished I fixed with the LOS . thanks for playing

Can I borrow your idea? Just kidding, dude. The gameplay is very unusual, but overall pleasant. As for the graphics, try pixel art. Even such a crooked person as I was able to draw something at least a little attractive).

Developer

lol for sure, especially the cover art, I rushed thru that, pretty sure my dog could have drawn it better. all the sprites in game were essentially created in affinity designer and scaled down and touched up in a sprite.  thanks for playing btw.
