A cute little game. I really like the art style and colour palette choice. And the simple music and sound effects fit quite nicely. Some player animations would have been nice but to be honest it looks good as is. I do wish that you could hold down the direction keys to make it move repeatedly (like in 2d pokemon games) as my hands did get a bit tired over the few attempts it took me to finish. In the end I made it out with 33s to spare. Overall good job!
Thank you for that honest feedback! I really appreciate it!
Omg this is fun. The color palette is nice, the music is very nice (I find that the sound and the fire kinda matching the beat, idk if it's intentional or not but that's very cool for me). It would be better if you also add control for arrow keys as well, I think for a game without mouse movement using arrow keys is easier. (imo, different from other comments but I don't think making holding the button to move several tiles is a good idea, the fire kinda require more precision and I think pressing the buttons is better)
Hey, thank you! The arrow keys should definitely work (I’m old-fashioned and I still call them cursor keys) so I’ll look into that. But yeah, thank you for the feedback!
its fun..
its fun..
fun game
Thank you! :D
Fun idea, simple but well executed! nice work :)
Thank you! Honestly, I appreciate you saying that!
I like the visuals of the game and tho it's simple it's a good escape game, my only real complain is the fact that you have to press the key if you want to move and can't hold it down to move several tiles, would make the experience much better and my finger wouldn't hurt as much
Right! I appreciate that honest feedback, thank you!
Cool game, really enjoyed it! But, as someone already mentioned, controls are pretty slow
Thanks for that honest feedback! With hindsight, I totally would’ve done it differently. :)
I really like this game specially the colour pallet you used ! Only complain is that controls are kinda slow but really cool game
I appreciate that honest feedback, thank you!
:3 it reminds me undertale ..
We had a blast playing this game! Well done
Thank you so much!
Escaped with 16 seconds left on my 2nd run, I love the visuals, the pallate is and music is very fun, I love the way it starts slowly.
It ran pretty okay and did not encounter any glitches, It is nice entry overall, Good work!
I love the visuals of your game and also the theme feels perfectly incorporated!
Very cool and consistent art style! The level design and audio combine to make it really frantic and fun.
Very cute and difficult. The movement wasn't my favorite but otherwise I loved it!
Hey, I appreciate your honesty on the movement! With hindsight, I definitely could’ve spent more time on that. Thank you!
This was a such a cool game, there was a part where you can kinda see the paths ahead, and then when you go to the room above you have scramble to figure which was the right path, it was great level design.
Brilliant!!!
The game really makes you FEEL like you are escaping a burning spaceship.
I enjoyed the art and the frantic feel. I think some juice- like a sound effect every time the player moves a tile, could really add a lot. Because moving is the only action the player takes, you want it to feel as good as possible.
Fun game, good work.
You’re totally right on the juice! Thank you!
The graphics are very nice, the palette was chosen by this artist, the gameplay is interesting, although a little hackneyed. Add spawn points. You can be proud of yourself. The game is addictive.
I respectfully disagree — the gameplay is IMMENSELY hackneyed. Thank you! :D
