Like the othes said the control are weird but the gameplay loop is very cool. I really liked the art and the music too ! For a game made by one person it's really impressive !

Controls are a bit awkward.... But overall, one of the best games this jam. But, felt like you relied on the jetpack feature too much..

Damn, this deserves the amount of reviews it got. The character design is downright impressive, the art palette awfully reminds of Hazbin's Hotel (even the idea is kinda close!)- Really great, fluid movement, too. The only thing that can be said about, and that other people on itch complained about, is the controls. Why use k and j? These are really uncommon. Couldn't you used w or space for jump and z or x for the long jump? these are more comfortable buttons for players. One thing I also noticed is that this was created solo, which is very, very, very impressive. Numbers:

Art: 9/10

Music: 8/10

Implementation of mechanics: 9.5/10

Theme: 8.5/10

Honestly, one of the best games in the jam. Amazing work! Keep it up.

Thanks for the comment! I guess its time to talk about the controls. I was under the impression that K and J were common buttons to use, as I had seen them used in Shovel Knight. In the future, I'll likely make both KJ and ZX viable control schemes.

Game is hella fun. Done by one person. Damn. Very Impressive. I like the movement, particle effect and all. Good job man.

Very challenging game ! It's a very neat work and knowing that you did it alone makes it even more impressive ! Congratulations !

that cooldown is long..
cool game

Some hitboxes could be more generous but other than that it is great.
The checkpoints were placed at the right distance. I like how exploding the jetpack is your best weapon but also makes you very vulnerable.

Gameplay lack the controll after the end of jetpack fuel. Overall it is a good game!

This is a good interpretation of the theme and the gameplay was good.

The controls kind of feel awkward, but I was able to make do.

Good work. :)

Fun to play, smooth controls and the theme implementation was on of the best yet, GJ.

Solid. 👌🤙

This doesn't feel like a game jam game, its got so much polish. It's really compelling and easy to pick up but incredibly moreish.

Absolutely smashed it, no notes 💯

Finished the game!
first off I really love the art style, the character designs are interesting and the setting is beautiful. the game feels juicy and the buttons are impactful. especially liked the trail that follows the character after depleting the jetpack. the sounds were mostly good, some sounds are a little loud compared to the rest but nothing really problomatic.
the unconventional controls were annoying at times -  at first I couldn't really put my finger on what felt wrong, but I think its a combination of two things , jumping with the jetpack feels sometimes inconsistent, and hard to control. but mainly I think the problem is the cooldown. because the jetpack is your only way of fighting enemies and jumping across large gaps, the cooldown makes you wait after every obstacle without doing anything, it makes the game feel weird, and is especially frustrating when you die and need to start over.
aside from the mechanical issues the game is great, looks and sounds good and feels polished.
