Amazing game, really enjoyed playing it, it feels like a professional game.

Thanks!

definitly a winner for the jam! The gameplay is fun the idea is great and the atmosphere is perfect! I wish there was more progresion like maybe an item you can buy that sets your spawn point or a teleporter or a double jump but it was still fun with a great ending!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback, I do agree that I shoudve added some sort of teleport item or some way to quick travel.

Nice idea for a game, and the art style is great! Only problem was at the start there seemed to be something blocking my view so I kept falling off the map and dying, possibly a bug.

Thats weird, but still thank you for playing.

Beautiful game, and beautiful music. Really like the minimalistic color palette, and the white on black theme. I was thinking in my head that you would need some sort of checkpoint system because the trek back was a bit tedious, and then there it was! Also fun with a boss at the end, and nice with clear telegraphed attacks. I feel like difficulty has been very hard to gauge (my game turned out way to hard) but yours feels pretty well balanced.

Some things that might have been nice is to maybe outline the scrap with a tiny lighter hue, didn't understand the scrap was the thing I was supposed to pick up until a couple of platforms in when I finally noticed the prompt.

Also, on a "if you were to continue on this after the jam" note - On my final stretch on the third floor I found a bug where punching the air where you've killed an enemy it keeps dropping energy indefinitely. So with that energy resource management becomes a non-issue.

Very good job!

Developer

Thank you for playing, I do agree that the scrap needs a visual indicator. (:

Love the art style and melancholic soundtrack)
PS: For me Linux build was running OK.

Developer

Thanks for playing!

It was good, however while playing I lacked a purpose besides just getting scrap, maybe im just tired of playing platformers at this point or maybe the game is missing something. What I think its missing is, maybe like a progress bar at the top, that tells you how far you are from the finish, or some kind of checkpoint system. The walk back to the shop is also pretty tedious, maybe something to teleport back between levels would've been good. It's good, dont get me wrong, but its missing some things to make it even better. You could keep working on it, correction, you should.

Thanks I apreciate the feedback. Maybe I will continue developing on the game

Developer

There is a boss at the end, did you get to it?

Hey there! I tried downloading the Linux version, but all I got was a brief window titled "Godot". I was looking forward to playing it! The artwork looks so great!

Sorry, to hear that, I am not sure what the problem is but the game is not set as an executable in the file, on my laptop i first had to right-click, then press properties, and if i can remember right there is a tick that said is executable

Submitted

I checked that too, first thing. It was ticked (execute file as a program permission). Looks amazing... If you posted a gameplay video, I could rate based off on that?
