Fantastic game, the last level was challenging, in all the right ways. I think I would've easily played 20 more levels. Really good design overall, I wish my physics worked as well as this does lol. Also, I've been told my game is kinda hard too, and seeing as I beat yours, I'd like to challenge you to beat mine. No pressure, just an invite. Oh, and don't expect the same quality, I'm still quite new :D

Wow, this game was awesome! The art and sound design were both very well done. Overall the experience of playing is very fun and easy. The mechanics work very well and there were only a few minor bugs I encountered (checkpoints not working or levels not ending after collecting all bananas). But considering how well the rest of everything works and how interesting the mechanic is, I am confident in saying you made a very good game!

Great game. It has a nice old-school vibe, and the mechanic of using the weapon as a way to move around is excellent, with well-executed physics. I also liked the difficulty progression with each level, as well as the art and music. Congratulations!

This feels like it could have been a real flash game. Very well done!

The progression of mechanics feels natural and is introduced gradually. One thing about the tutorialization is that the two click jump sign room introduces something which is not nessecary for the rest of the game (I think). It did however allow me to do some trick jumps which I don’t think are intended to skip frustrating parts of the game lol.

The music was nice and reminded me of the coconut song and under the sea. Fun song! xD

In general I think the length was very appropritate because I don’t think I would have wanted to play more 1) because I felt like anything more with these mechanics would become unfun levels of frustrating/difficult and 2) Because then I would have become sick of the song I enjoyed listening to for this experience hahaha.

You game page looks very clean too! In general the art direction is on point.

Well thing is, I did not yet get sick of it! Which is why it was the perfect length despite the song having such a short loop ;)

I tried to say you game did NOT overstay its welcome, which is a good thing!

Some parts weren’t intentional and some were, I wanted to keep it up to the player what mechanics they’d use and in what way to complete the level in their desired choice

Great platformer! Elevating by shooting backwards was great tie in for the theme and physically makes a lot of sense. Although I still died plenty, for some reason, I wanted the difficulty to be along the lines of "if you hit spikes, you need to recollect the bananas" which maybe would've made it too hard, perhaps I'm crazy. All the same, great game!

I thought that too for the bananas but since it was just a game jam I didn’t want people going ballistic over having to collect them all again😭

Yeah this was really fun, the art is good, and gameplay works really well and the audio is nice, the only thing I can really say is that the theme is a bit hit or miss, I understand how you used elevate but it seems a bit of a stretch and I didn't really think about the idea of elevate to much while playing. but still this was really well made and is really fun.
