it's a great game overall it just doesn't feel like a kaiju game. it has the monster aspect of kaiju down pat but lacks the giant aspect that is associated with kaiju

Developer

Hmm I guess I'm a little confused by this comment on the aspect of the gameplay requiring our characters to transform into their larger Kaiju forms in order to help the kids and prove they aren't scary. Slushie and Tango are considered young kaiju's hence why they're on the smaller scale of kaiju spectrum and by comparison to the kid's perspective they are giant. There was more writing and design to the ending that I think emphasized this point further but was rewritten to meet deadline, unfortunate but it happens ^^;

Thanks for playing our game!

well if you want to go ahead and turn this into a full game i think it would do alright. paper craft games are is short supply on pc and i think you have talent despite my comment

Great/creative art! The environment was really pretty and very effective, also the controls were really responsive. The game reminded us of yoshi's crafted world or paper mario. You both crafted a nice world :) Good job!

Thanks for playing our game!! Paper Mario, Yoshi and Kirby's Epic Yarn were definitely all of the mood board for the environment art design of the game and Fwee did a really great job designing characters to fit the theme ^^

What a pretty game! The art caught me by compete surprise it was so well done and beautiful! Also the characters were adorable! Really enjoyed the sound and world building, I did encounter a few bugs, but aside from that it was great!

This is fantastic! Excellent job with the environment and character design, you managed to create something that looks really polished despite the limited amount of time. The game play was pretty creative too, it's definitely a unique take on a Kaiju game, shrinking and growing to help people solve puzzles and such. I wasn't able to get to the end, since I got on the stone step bridge, unable to get onto the shore or grow to my big form. Still, great job!

Developer

Hi Xenological thanks for playing our game!

Shoot I thought I had fixed that bridge bug with the last update I did but the stones and collision are still too small it seems, will revisit since the ending is quite the wrap up to Slushie and Tango's journey ^^

This game was adorable! I LOVE Tango and Slushie's designs. The game has a very nice aesthetic and very charming dialogue! I'm also a sucker for "split the party" style puzzle games (or puzzle games in general). It's a shame y'all ran out of dev time because I would have loved to see more of this. If anything more is going to come from this I'd love to hear it! Great work!

There's a lack of feedback that makes the game difficult to understand.

Keep up the good work!

Mind-blowing visuals, you did a fantastic job for two weeks!

I wish I could give the art 6 stars! This looks truly fantastic! ^_^ I see the strong Nintendo influence and I think you did it justice and more :)

I wasn't sure if I was gathering the fruits correctly, and then I bugged to the outside of the level, otherwise I would have kept playing longer.

Hi Sonder, thanks for playing our game and your kind comments!

Item pickups was a slightly buggy feature that I couldn't get fixed in time for the jam deadline ^^; I saw it mostly happening when you stepped up on the items and then tried to pick it up while standing on them, but overall I think it just needs some rework. I'll try to give them a fix when I can, thank you for the feedback! :D

Hey, i have played your game it has wonderful 2d arts ! And it fit well to the theme kaiju and small.

However i was blocked by collision in the river that you can see in the screenshot. I wasn't able to get out the character from it. And during my first try my character have fly out of the map when i was getting red apples :/

Hi Sewo! Thanks for trying out our game and for the bug catch! I've updated the game today so you should be able to cross the river now ^^

Being launched when picking up the items is still an active bug I'm trying to fix but avoidable if you don't pick up an item while you're standing on it (in case it seems persistent until a proper fix comes through!)
