Cool fps browser entry- I liked the special ability rng and the graphics and effects looked good in the browser. I am on safari, so I could play for a little but then would usually crash out with some errors. Nice entry though- I got to play enough to get a good feel of it and be totally swarmed by pills. Nice work!
Interesting game entry with a fun theme.
I wasn't able to decipher any of the artwork or extract any clues to find more than 14 of the secrets.
The gameplay almost felt like a calculator that asks you to guess a random number within a range and could only tell you if you were right or wrong. When you finally get a right answer your reward is to try to guess within an exponentially larger range for the next one. After 14 I was tempted to calculate the number of possibilities but I am pretty certain that it may end up being more than the number of atoms in the universe. Some of the items combined intutively and unlocked a new secret, though many combinations that produce something in our known world had no effect in the game, so after a bit I just started mashing without a clue.
Shows lots of promise though, I could imagine all sorts of ways that clues could be revealed in the game or interesting reactions that could happen. I could imagine this being really fun too with the rhythm mechanic you were describing. Also I could imagine animations or art that gave some clues, or at least give a hint that you were on the right track. Overall Nice work!
Really well done game entry- the art, audio, design, and story were all really cohesive and appropriate for this package. The gameplay and story was fun too. At first I confused the passes and had them backwards (a failure that cost my character's life lol) but I didn't make that mistake again. Great work!
Nice work. This is a really polished entry and it had nice touches all the way through. Every detail and feature really come together and enhanced the experience that still would be fun even if everything were pared-down to wireframes. This game is a delight and really impressive to see executed to this level in a game jam~!
wow thank you for going through all the trouble just to get it running and thank you for the thoughtful feedback you have written here. I found the bugs in my code for the repeat music and I realized too that the switch logic is busted too (which is likely the cause of that bug) hehe so I am going to fix some of these for just a fix up post-jam version.
for real though, thanks so much for this review- you totally made my day! Happy jamming and cheers to you!
If you have sidequest you can click an option to upload an APK file onto the headset, then to access the game on your headset you go to your apps, you have to select from the sorting dropdown menu "unknown sources" which should show the app "Time Climb". This will run natively on your quest and won't need to be linked to a pc to run it. I wish you luck! the process is not convenient so thank you for even thinking of trying and cheers!
wow. I was not expecting this. at first I remembered something my dad used to tell me, "work harder, not smarter" so I was tempted to 3d print an attachment for my electric drill to turbo click my mouse, but then I opened the sidebar and realized choices with time are the most valuable investment- in this case the idea of investing in renewable energy earlier. this is a thoughtful and unassuming entry, I love what you did and the message it leaves for the player to synthesize. great work!
very trippy story. reminds me of a time I drank jungle juice in the amazon and was transformed into disembodied energy, only to die over and over again, transporting to ever increasing complex worlds with more rules while being instructed and consumed constantly by the god of ants. nice work, I like the tempo control of movement that you eventually get used to. It is an interesting game mechanic, like it teaches you to take a moment and breathe. very unexpected entry. nice job
