I've seen a bunch of world rotating games in here, but none of them were actually full fledged platformers, they were more of a puzzle. This one stands out for sure. I like the moody cute sounds that that you actually made smooth world orientation transitions. There are few bugs here and there, for example the transition I mentioned before just jumps or gets stuck midways, but bugs are expected in a jam game. Different asset theme for different levels is definetly a bonus. Good job!

Developer

Definitely needed more time to work on those bugs, but we're glad it didn't annoy you too much. Thank you so much for the kind words, we appreciate it!

Cool mix of plataformer and puzzle, good job.

Developer

Thanks for playing and the kind comment!

Fun concept! Platforming feels good, and the gameplay clicks easily. There seems to be some kind of bug if you rotate the world too fast, that fixes itself if you jump. Very nice game.

Developer

Thanks for playing and the feedback! Hoping to fix those problems with the camera in a future version.

Very interesting concept and it worked really well! I just had a few issues, like, sometimes when I rotated the camera many times in a row, the camera would pop to the final position and it got me a bit disoriented; when I fell into a bee I took 3 hits consecutively, because there was no invulnerable time. The level design is awesome, it kept me very engaged to keep playing, it reminded a bit about VVVVVV. The music fits the game very well too! Nice job!

Thank you so much! I had never done anything like this before, so I'm somewhat proud of the level design, if I do say so myself lol. The camera issues were definitely annoying (so sorry about that), but as we were running out of time we were afraid to mess with it too much and somehow make it worse, but it's for sure something we'll be looking to improve in the future.  Thank you again for the feedback!

Great little game, the idea is clever and I could see some mind breaking puzzles in the future if the game keeps being developed. The only thing I'd add would be the possibility to choose in which direction we could rotate the screen. That could be either an advantage or an even more challenging mechanic, depending on the obstacle ahead. Congratulations and keep them coming! :)

Developer

Thanks for playing it and the heartwarming comment mromer.  The rotation direction was implemented at some point, but it caused some bugs, it is in the "TODO list" maybe for a future version. Thanks for the feedback and I am glad you liked it!

Great concept and use of the theme. I had a few problems with the controls like jumping near walls and flipping the screen seemed to glitch out a bit. Minor things that could be fixed with more time to polish. Great Job!

Developer

It really needs more polish. It was our first time in a game jam, and the tight time didn't help. But it has been an excellent learning process. Thanks for the feedback and the kind words!

I love how you used rotation in your game! It reminds me of the game Fez. It really set up for some neat mechanics. At one point I missed my jump and rotated and fell like halfway down the map lol. Thanks for sharing!

Developer

Thanks for playing it and the heartwarming comment! The idea was to make a "fall damage" mechanic, but later I scrapped it to let people "fully use their creativity" to finish the level lol.

Performance aside, the camera mismatching the orientation really is the only thing annoying about it. Otherwise, great choice of assets and solid level design, decent size.

Developer

Hoping to fix those problems with the camera in a future version. Thanks for playing it and taking the time to comment!

Presentation is good and the idea is certainly solid.

Unfortunately I found the physics and camera too janky to really get a handle on and for me, fun was ruined. Sorry!

This was nearly there, great effort!

Developer

Yeah, I know what you mean... It definitely needed some more polishing. I guess the Unreal Engine is not the best tool for this kind of game, and I struggled with implementing some mechanics. Thanks for the feedback!

Works perfectly fine and completly in the theme. The physics make it kinda fun to rotate too much and kinda fly :D.

Just one things that may due to the game being made for the jam, for the small scope of the game, my computer was crying for me to stop the game (like really it pushed my potatoe computer too much). The game didn't stutter or anything, just my computer going crazy. So I stopped after the first level.

But the games is pretty works well and I had a good vibe playing it :).

Developer

Thank you so much! I'm glad you had fun with it. Sorry for pushing too much of your computer, I didn't have to time the check for performance issues, it's definitely something I will be looking to improve in the future.
