I do like the idea, but it is still a little too rough.
One major change I suggest is that the starting weapon and/or the progression of the following ones be randomized.
Also, a little trick that will make our enemies feel more alive is to include a chance of stopping and stand aside, a little while in place.
It's a fun game and a nice mechanic, but the sword feels underpowered and risky, she could have a spin attack that hited everyone around. The way it is now is better to run away and wait for the magic staff and just rampage on the monsters.
Oh man, I love a good swarm game. This one doesn't disappoint for a 48hr jam entry.
I can't get past 130 kills, but I'll be back!
I like the way these games, if they're good, let you explore mechanics a bit. At first I was like wtf is up with this staff, it launches Orcs in my face, then I figured how you can get them to launch away from you and pretty much place the fireball wherever. Then I was like, the spear sucks, why would I use this... until I figured out you can kill 3 dudes at once with it.
Very nicely balanced, I dig it. Maybe some variety in your enemies, let player buy and upgrade weapons, a health drop every now and then and you have yourself a proper game. Well done!
I'm off to kill more Orcs :D
Nice idea! It would be cool to have some sound effects, especially notifying you that the weapon is about to change. I like this gameplay type where you are forced to use a new weapon, and think on your feet.
Great game, I killed 53
The concept is very interesting, you can add more weapons and make the switch more quick to add more chaos
Really fun weapon selection but i feel that the sword is a bit weak and the spell ended up killing me but was a fun zombie game :)
I liked the weapon changing mechanic and the different attributes for each weapon type. It added a lot of variety to the combat. The one thing I felt was kind of off was the displacement caused by the staff's explosions. There were a couple times where I hit an enemy and it knocked them straight into me without warning.
Cool concept, gives me Crimsonlands vibes!
The range of the intial sword did seem too short to avoid being hit, but it added tension and caused me to keep an eye on the wheel to strategize, so well done!
Thank you so much for the feedback!
