loved that apple is the strongest weapon :D
In the last level the UI was in the way of the targets but other than than it was great :)
Thank you! And the apple was my favorite weapon when testing because it originally had no cooldown and would shoot out in a solid stream of apples lolol so I had to make it over powered ;) and yea, sometimes the enemies or spawners spawn underneath the UI and it gets tough to target them, we will fix that in the next update once the jam is over! So if you are interested in playing a more fleshed out version, feel free to follow us!
really fun to play, great concept. the rockets didn't work for me or I used them wrong. I would love to have key bindings for the different projectiles to choose fast. You did great job
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it. The small rockets got over balanced to the point where they basically did no damage, I forgot to tweak it before posting the game. And we tried adding in the ability to switch between you items in the hotbar with the number keys, but it was finicky after building for some reason. Thanks for the feedback!
Woww. This is such an awesome entry to the jam. I remember a game in Mame32 with similar mechanics, but was a 2 player game (you battled against your friend). Fun, good looking, fits the theme. This is probably a 5/5 on every aspect.

Good game with variety of abilities and ways to spend money. Guess destroying spawners feels too easy? Sometimes it feels hard to hit the target and recharge feels long... I survived only 7 levels.
Also, exit button was not working for me D: I was trapped!

I hear the targeting issue, it's something that annoyed me as well. In the version we are working on, we fixed the targeting go to the mouse instead of to the center of the tile your mouse is over, that way it feels more responsive to your inputs.
And yes! I feel the recharge for sure needs something extra to spice it up! I think we could add a little charge animation around the cursor to indicate the cooldown between shots? Maybe that way the player can know when they can shoot and when they can't... What do you think?

It was really fun and the game is polished. At the start a lit bit hard to understand what's going on, but later you go deeper into the game. Fantastic work! Unfortunately, only problems with wave numbers :) It shows that start wave 10 but in the text only number 9. Also finish is like the next wave. I start preparing for it and it shows just finish :D A little bit disappointed. I want more :)

This game is really fun! Takes me back to playing "storm the house" on addicting games website haha. One thought on improving the game. I felt overpowered once I got a couple of the more expensive weapons. Maybe they should should have an "ammo limit per round" or something to force you to use all the weapons you made for the game. Nice work on this one overall!
Thank you for the kind words :) and yes! That puts into words perfectly the problem I noticed with our current take on the shop. We originally had the stone as the only unlimited ammo with everything else needing to be restocked, but we thought that it felt bad to run out of ammo in the middle of the round, especially since it’s so easy to accidentally shoot and the fun is in blasting away at things. So to fix this in the future, Im thinking about making it into a more roguelike system, where you start with a base projectile (Stone, rocket, lightning, etc.) and as you complete waves you add modifiers to that base (deadly seeds that’s spawn sharp trees, debris that damages over time, a burn effect, etc.). That way people can play with everything but still have that since of progression and self expression in the playstyle

It was hard to give any game 5 stars for presentation this jam, because everybody is using the same assets. The polish on this game though, with all the animations, the sound fx, just every aspect of it is so pristine. Easy 5/5.
Also wave 8 was my favorite, gave my body a shot of adrenaline hahaha

I died twice at level 6, too many things where happening for my little brain. But, it's a game I want to retry with a more polish version. :)
Thanks for giving it a try! The spawners can become overwhelming for sure, I didn't get around to tweaking them unfortunately. Maybe in the future we will revisit this game :)

the wave affect on the hexagon tiles is so nice! also i like the overwhelming feeling when there are many towers spawning zombies.
i wish i could use the number keys to switch my active weapon, but its a very minor detail.lovely game :)

The numbers change the item selected for me. But I wish there was a someway to tell which was selected.
YES! We added in the effect for an outline on the hotbar, but unfortunately forgot to hook it up to the hotbar code... Whoops!

Smart move, we can't exit the game using the exit button, "you never leave!" :D.
A lot of different weapon for a jam :o.
At first at level 6 I was wondering why they were still spawning even if I destroyed every building, but I didn't zoom out so I wasn't seeing all of them huhu.
The rock (first weapon) is a bit weird to hit things tho so pro tip, use deadly tree :D.

and yes! I spent a lot of time at the start of the jam polishing my method for creating weapons using scriptable objects. I knew as fatigue set in I would want something to do that wasn't bug fixing, so I made sure to stream line that process :)
In hindsight I should've made the camera zoom out when the new wave starts, that way the player can see all the spawners.

Very nice work! I liked how many upgrades and different weapon types you were able to put into the game, and the visual pop/"juice" you added made it feel great to play.
