genius and extensive

I can move the blue point, but I cannot start the cut.

Developer

Hello. You need to press space bar (and an arrow key) to start the cable.

Submitted

There is just one normal, why not just space? Or not just arrows?

Developer (1 edit)

pressing the spacebar avoids pulling a cable by mistake and putting yourself at the mercy of the bug.

Wow, this game is really polish.  Also, I can not remember to see someone taking the gameplay of Qix, it needed this amount of love. :D

That was a ton of fun! Had to adapt my strategies a bit once there was more than one wasp buzzing around

Fun game, I remember playing something like this at an arcade in France. What love function did you use to reveal/hide certain portions of the background image? :)

Developer

I have never played a Qix-like at arcade in my childhood. Yet I spent a lot of time there :)

I didn't use a love function. It's just a pixel matrix in which pixels hav differents colors/alpha.

Wow! This is so polished! I loved the original game on the Amiga as a kid. This makes me nostalgic :-D. Very impressive remake.

Developer

Thanks for you message ! I loved much the game on Amiga too :)

Your game is simply amazing.

The shattering glass effect was particularly spectacular! Well done

Developer

Thanks :) I am very glad you liked the glass particules effect.

Amazing game!

Really fun and satisfying to play, nice retro feel, fits the theme plus it's quite polished. Best one yet.

Developer

Very nice feedback. Thank you much :)

Super sympa ton jeu.  Je suis arrivé au niveau 5. Dommage que j'ai perdu deux vies au niveau 4 car j'aurai pu faire le level 6.

Developer

Very fun and unique interpretation of the theme and executed amazingly! The aesthetic is great too and matches it perfectly, I have a hard time imagining something that would suit it better.

Very very polished qix/volfied ^^ I really like all the little fxs.

Submitted

Very impressive you managed to build this during the jam!

Developer

Thanks :) Anyway, not enough time to make a better congratulation screen.

a nice qixlike that i can actually get a few stages into.

the glass particles when you reveal a section are oddly beautiful... good job

Developer

Thanks for your post ! Glad you liked to break glass :)

Nice graphics. Please look at the w,s,a,d controls. I pressed it and from the menu into the game transition worked. But in the game only arrows work. :)

Developer

Thanks for your feedback :) I hav tried many ways, but I can't reproduce the problem o_O

The DOS game aesthetic takes me right back to my childhood. Love it!

I'm curious, were the sprites generated by Midjourney as well? I'd be very interested in what your process was like in generating these assets.

Developer

Thanks for your message :) I didn't know aesthetic. I used to play Qix and Styx during my childhood. About sprites, only the bug is from midjourney :

/ flying bug sprites on black background, spritesheet, top view, pixel art style, bright colors
