Did you work in a team?
Just me, I did all the programming, design, art and music!
I had a blast.
Was the resolution a challenge?
The biggest hurdle this year was fitting a lot of UI information into the resolution.
What did you learn?
I was test driving my custom engine for this jam. So that was an extra challenge, but a lot of fun.

I was speedrunning this but I found a bug, I think; some empty tiles aren’t passable or minable; they’re just strange voids: https://youtu.be/1brLoxaCMdg /shrug
Ah weird! I wonder what's causing that, might have to take a look.
Thanks for sharing!
Also, love that you are speedrunning! :D
yeah, it was fun! 6:58 is my best time :D
AAAA MOTHERLOAD YES YES YES I LOVE THIS really well done!!! I especially like all the sounds; the intro mouth noises, the drill whirr sound, the “yay” sound (lol). The logo+red theme on the itch page is also really striking
in summary: went looking for devil, found my keys, pressed space to go to space, 10/10
good concept, can develope to better in furure.
I want to drill upside.
I love this type of resource collection game, and this is a great simple implementation of it. I'm impressed with how clear the UI is given the resolution constraint.
A fun concept that could be developed further.
It's a bit of a hassle the fact that you have to go aaall the way up to the surface to buy fuel, maybe add some additional shops half-way through so you can continue going down.
Good game.
This is really fun! Great old-school vibes. Loved the sounds and the guy talking in the intro :D. Awesome job! Please check ours out too: https://itch.io/jam/lowrezjam-2020/rate/732044
It's a really fun concept and OMG the sound effect when leveling up is just too perfect!
Thanks for playing!! :D
Great game ahah, some real addictive potential ! The sound design really added something. Especially the "YAAAAAAY" ahah. Caught me off-guard the first time xD
My only and very little criticism is that, even tho the music is really awesome, it is quite erased beside the general sound effects. Hopefully, you had an option to desactivate SFX :) ! Appreciate this kind of little details.
I was waiting for an easter egg if we try to go in space by ourself directly from the position of the spaceship ahah. Or maybe I didn't go high enough ^^
Even tho this game is about going inside the earth, the spaceship and the color used reminded me of the old "Into Space !" flash game.
Good submission !
Thanks for playing! Glad you enjoyed. I appreciate the feedback :D
Had fun with this one :D
Nice work!
Nice name too. 😎
Thanks!!
(and right back at ya!)
so cool and addictive !!!!!!!!!
Thank you so much! :D
so cool and addictive !!!!!!!!!
If I could give six stars for "YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!"
Yaaaay!!
Awesome game! I love all the sounds like the talking sounds for the npc! Great idea I wish I thought of a mining game!
Thanks! I added the NPC in very last minute, but love how they turned out :P
I'm not sure what my problem is, but I didn't have any sound, and after about 10 minutes of play the game crashed (there was just a blurry Drillbit logo).
I'm using Vivaldi (a chromium browser).
Oh no! I am sorry to hear you are having issues.
I wrote the game in a little custom c#, but it's using Unity for the Web GL build, so it is likely just an issue with Unity.
I'll see if I can't take a look tonight though. Curious!!
This is one of the few games I've played to completion so far. Not only that, but it had me hooked for a full half an hour. Great job. My only comments are that the music got a little repetitive, and after buying some speed boosts, I found it a little tricky to get my ship aligned just right to fit through the shaft, but this was an overall addictive and pleasant experience. Thank you :)
This comment really warms my heart!
Thank you so much for playing, and enjoying it :D
Great use of the screen space, fun gameplay, a good amount of features, and an objective (find your keys) that I can relate to! :D
Thanks so much for playing and commenting! :D
