Was the resolution a challenge?
It was quite fun to work with low resolution, but the ui displaying can become a challenge some time

A nice little game!

Love the warning icons, they are well done for this small space. The graphics in general are pleasing.

it a nice simple game. but after a while the laser become near impossible to dodge. perhaps it could be re balance a bit by reducing max number of laser on screen. because as it is now the later part of the game become screen of death filled with laser.

Hahahaha this was so cute and the gameplay feels really smooth and its self explanatory too. Only things are I wish there was a background and some music. Also idk if you can export to html? Very neat, made me smile! Would you mind checking out my entry as well, I'd like to hear your thoughts?

Thank you for your review! I am not so sure whether it can be explored to html without causing any other bugs though, which is  the main reason i stick to an exe file

Really clever use of physics, it felt really smooth and easy to handle making yourself go higher by taking advantage of the buoyancy. The way the rubber ducky rotates while maintaining a pixel aesthetic was also a nice touch.

I feel like the rate of the white things that increase your hunger should be more frequent. At the current state there are just times where I lose because the things aren't coming in fast enough. Then when they finally come in I've just lost so much hunger than they give me back.

Definitely a good idea! I'll go ahead and make those changes

I made a few changes such that when there's more lazer present, your hunger(now called health) drops slower. I also made food a bit more rewarding and more frequent.

As a direct adjustment to these changes, lazers are more punishing now because I don't want the players to tank the lazer hit by eating a few pieces of food - this should become more obvious after you reach the later games, but shouldn't affect you as much in the early games.

Please help me test with the testing build - it should be in the download section as well.

I can last a lot longer and it feels a lot better overall, in terms of making me feel like I can improve, rather than it being the game. I will say it is weird that the health goes down at a consistent pace sometimes, but then after a few ticks drops half instantly.  This is without taking hits as well. It seems like when you get hang time in the air your health just drops like crazy, so it's super discouraging almost to use the dive jump system to dodge the lazer. Since it seems to drop the health. I don't know if that was a design choice or not, if it was I guess I would just tune it a bit more.

It was originally designed to compensate the lack of flies, so if there are less flies on screen, your hunger drops slightly slower and if more, your hunger drops faster. Now that more flies are present on screen, I guess it makes more sense to use a constant instead
