What did you learn?
Building a game I've done before from the ground up showed me how much better I am now: I remember struggling with some basic concepts. I think this version is vastly improved from the Koto The Pixel I made years ago.

I like the mechanic, it feels strangely satisfying to throw Koto at the candy to grow him(?). Seems like it has great opportunities for puzzles, but that potential wasn't really explored — at least in the early levels (I got stuck on 'Gooey Candy Center'). Also for some reason sprites would "shimmer", perhaps because they didn't quite match the resolution. Overall I think it's a promising idea but needs a little work! :-)
Good game! I think that the level progression is very well done - the game introduces new mechanics and tests the player's knowledge of them in a thoughtful way, I very much like that. I think that some levels are maybe too hard and too "finnicky" in some unpredictable and un-fun ways (like: I already figured out how to beat a certain level, but I keep failing because of my bad motor skills). I'm also not a big fan of the visuals themselves. Overall, I found the core mechanics very interesting and had a fun time with this game.
This was such a cute and feel-good game to play, I was smiling the whole time. It isn't very difficult but I didn't mind, since each level has unique enough mechanics to keep it interesting. The concept is fun and the visuals had so much personality.
Really inventive and lovely concept! I kept dying at the gooey candy center, I couldnt make that jump to get inside! :P
I really liked this game! I was pleasantly surprised by the growing mechanic. At first I was concerned by the flashing character when I was only a pixel tall, but then I began to consider it might be just an artifact of your sprite scaling method, which is pretty clever on it's own right. Good job. :) (The web version which I played had no sound. But no sound is better than bad sound)
