Did you work in a team?
Team of 2: one dev, one artist. It was a good experience, but we only got to participate for the second half of the jam -- so many features got cut.
Was the resolution a challenge?
Text is hard at this scale. So we tried to make a game that had minimal text. Readability is quite difficult at this scale.
What did you learn?
Learned more about how HaxeFlixel works. We didn't explore the interesting facets of the 64x64 restrictions, but we came up with a game that is quite different from anything else we've made before.

Nice idea, the mini-game style works well on this resolution and the theme gave you the contex for several mini-games. Implementation wise… picking was not working that well, coins did not get picked that easily (particularly small coins), same with some of the popsicles. Overall a very nice entry.
nice minigames, art, music and effects. a very good package overall
The game is pretty fun! It looks good and the minigames are great
Oh man, this was the most satisfying rendition of a soda fountain I’ve ever seen in a video game!!! I love slamming the soda cup against the button to trigger that glorious click and juicy screenshake.
Thank you for this wholesome entry :)
The little mini-games are really fun and convincing, the pixel art speaks for itself. Good one!
Sometimes it is hard to pickup an icecream or coin with mousepointer hand. But it is fun, thank you.
Pretty fun management type simulation game, there was an issue with the ice cream flavour not being displayed properly at times and the coins were a bit hard to grasp but overall solid gameplay and visuals.
Lovely and fun! Picking up the coins was so annoying, just like real life I suppose. Also the ice cream game felt a bit unfair, is there a clue as to when you should click to move the cone? I couldn't figure it out. Anyway the game is fun, addictive and looks really good and cute. Nice job!
I played twice and served 10 both times ^^ sweet and wholesome :)
Thanks for playing!
I love the sprites and the sounds! I found the ice-cream game the hardest as I was not really sure how to trigger the movement of the cone. Anyway interesting concept, the minigames are really fun. Good job!
The cone starts moving automatically after a random delay. We didn't convey that very well, I'm realizing!
The mini-game approach works really well for game jams. I really enjoyed the food-based mini-games but I found the money mini-game frustrating, the 10 coins were really hard to pick up and it just wasn't as fun as the ice-cream or the cola games were. Great graphics in this and some nice sound too give the game a really great feel. Really cool idea, lots of fun :)
Thanks for the feedback! The dragging of coins wasn't _supposed_ to feel as clunky, but for some reason it feels much worse on itch.io than it does in local development environment. We didn't have time to figure it out once we realized it was an issue.
Nice work, very original idea too. Some of the coin sizes I had trouble with, but I enjoyed it nonetheless
the pixel art is charming! nice to simulate an ice cream truck too!!!
Cool game! I had a little bit of trouble picking some things up, but overall a pretty solid entry. Good work!
I love the idea! There were a few things that seemed hard or awkward to click/drag but the concept and gameplay loop are really well executed. I love the cute flourishes in the art too, nice job!
Thank you! Some of the mouse awkwardness is (seemingly) because of how the mouse handler we used for this game is a bit laggy on the HTML5 build. It plays quite a bit smoother in local builds than it does on the itch upload for some reason. Sort of unfortunate, but we didn't have time to reimplement it. Thanks for playing!
