Beautiful levels. Great job!

It's so pretty. I love the blooooooooom. The world feels so vast and explorable. I was just checking out the different parts and enjoying every second of it. The music is laid back and suits the game well. Great job!

I congratulate you, the visual style is the best I've seen in this edition of the jam, good job, keep it up.

Really atmospheric game! I enjoy the art though I believe it could use more contrast as others mentioned so it's easier to navigate the environment. I also agree with their other gripes except for the lack of a clear objective pointed out by a few. I think there's merit in a game with no obvious goal but I'd say there is one, just go up. It's a little finicky doing so but it's worth it

I got to a point where there was a big ledge and I jumped off and seemingly fell back to the start, was a little confused where to go from there! I also had a bit of a tough time moving around the map due to getting stuck on pieces of terrain.

I really liked the atmosphere in this game. The music was very cool and the VFX with the bloom and lighting really set the mood nicely.

Ah, sorry about that, the tower is the only unenclosed space, I never ended up blocking many of those ledges off in some manner.

Mm, I think the stickiness of the character is mainly due to the collision system I'm using which instead of using normal colliders it instead reads the pixels in the chunk(s) memory to stop you in whatever direction which is cheap but super dodgy since you can phase though terrain at high speeds (Like when jumping) there's also no auto stepping so when you run into a single pixel height difference you have to jump over it meaning you have to bunny hop everywhere hehe.

Anyways, thanks for the feedback!

Very good looking game, but there needs to be a bit more contrast between the background and obstacles, I sometimes had a hard time understanding why my character stopped moving.

Like the other commenters, I was also not sure what the goal was, but the atmosphere was amazing and I would be really interested in playing an improved version!

As an aside, maybe consider making the character contrast the background more (e.g., I think being all-black when in front of the light would look amazing). I think this is the greatest struggle in this jam: making sure that players can follow both the objective and their tiny character.

Not too sure wat I was supposed to do, but what an awesome atmosphere. I wished the backgrounds were a little less "grainy" to read them better but there's something quite special with this music, and the very cool post process

Nice environment and effects but I didn't quite get what you had to do with the fire, seemed more like exploring the world

Yeah, originally there was meant to be a lot of focus on heat puzzles where you could do things like melt metal walls or fluid pipes so you could float around on fluids to progress, a lot of that had to be scrapped though since I was having issues with the falling sand simulation, so there ended up being a lot less burning gameplay than i originally intended : )
