One of the best twist I've seen on the shoot em up play style, super cool. I would have loved it to be a bit less "strict" if I may say so and more fun with like slightly bigger bullets or things like this, for more juice ! But still very cool and creative

I understand that, and that's still a good job. In my opinion (as an artist in real life, but 3d, not 2d :p), the best motto is less is more. And getting to the point with less usually comes with practice and experience. Keep going and don't worry, this is already looking nice and that'll be even more down the line

Actually yes, I think I misjudged the visual smoothness which seems indeed to be caused by the antialiasing and not upscaled camera

Came for the chunky logo, stayed for the fun. Very cool little game, now I want to make shmup too :D

Quite a fun take on the idea, I'm always fan of particles or shader tricks or anything like that that's not just some sprites, so kudos to your game !

Ooof you twisted my mind :D a bit too obscure at first, but very cool idea, very unique

Ooof do I suck at this game ahah. Very well done entry though, it does work very well and it feels very smooth

Of course we all know by now how Vampire Survivor is addictive, so it works too here. Congrats on being able to fit this on such a small screen, and with a very cool. I must admit I would just have wished for a bit of a twist or surprise

Interesting puzzle concept ! I wished the tile art where a bit more unified, simple, to enhance the reading of the monsters of top of it. But that's a very good use of the constraint and themes

Very clever and fresh design, and super cool simple yet nice looking and perfectly readable art, good job !

Very cool little game, loved the fact that you can charge your jump, it's a nice twist

Indeed very challenging, but pretty nice atmosphere and visuals

Finally been able to play and I'm glad I was able to ! I didn't finish it because brutal game over, but that's by far the longests I've ever played on a jam gam.  This was really really nice. Texts were a bit hard to read but hey, not much you could do here with such a small screen. Loved the dynamic between the 2 character. Amazing job

The webgl wasn't too much fan of the big lot of shaders I've put in there unfortunately, there's no problem on the executable version, that's lesson learnt for next time :) thanks for playing !

Confirmed ! The webgl version now works, I'll try it for sure tonight when I'm back home :)

I would totally assume this is the case, we broke a full software like that not too long ago here at work and this was the culprit the devs found :) And indeed my comp here is set as some sort of hybrid, which would lead to the exe working and not the webgl, while none do on my home computer. No worries, happy to if it can help for later projects :)

Well I didn't know about using this console, so thanks a lot, I learnt something. I'm indeed getting an error, here it is:Champions of Shond.framework.js.gz:3 FormatException: Input string was not in a correct format.at System.Number.ThrowOverflowOrFormatException (System.Boolean overflow, System.String overflowResourceKey) [0x00000] in <00000000000000000000000000000000>:0
Maybe something to do with a french windows ?

How can I launch the unity's dev console ? In any case too bad I can't play it right now, because on the computer I'm on at work, the webgl does the same thing, but the exe show me the intro text this time

Very responsive and fun, and damn those sounds and musics :D

Amazing atmosphere and visuals, neat little concept and execution

It was indeed very long to start, and I must admit I didn't stick enough to play longer. Coordinated displayed while playing, or a little compass would have been nice. That said, the mood was amazing, I love the atmosphere and the sound, great job on this

(1 edit)

Crazy animation work on the character. Very smooth, it's amazing for that scale

Bummer, I'm not sure if I'm the only one, but the game is just a black screen when it starts, both webgl and windows. I can hear the music and sounds if I try do to anything. Pause menu works, but that's it

On board with the great atmosphere train too :p good job

I was quite hooked, for some reason there was an old school vibe that worked pretty well. Maybe because it was slow. At first I thought there was a bug with the healthpack, but the "tutorial" part for it came later :p A bit more dynamic combats and variety on the backgrounds would have been nice but it's a nice little entry anyway

Sorry about that :( I need to check if I have any way to build for other systems in the future

It almost was the plan at some point but dropped it. An horror world where there would be a fog like in a silent hill game, only to be removed around the ball, with bricks switching place and all

Loved it ! Only managed to reach halfway but I really was in the flow while playing, a simple but very well done !

Very very cool game, I really wish I could play this game with twice as much screen space so it's not that hard to follow.  Looks beautiful, huge, congrats on this entry

Too bad the game is a bit slow and sluggish in it's current state, because as Brando said this is a very cool style. And it could very very fun and punchy with some cool music, enemy attacks to dodge and so on. Hopefully you will keep developing it !

Not too sure wat I was supposed to do, but what an awesome atmosphere. I wished the backgrounds were a little less "grainy" to read them better but there's something quite special with this music, and the very cool post process

Pretty hard but top notch visuals and music, it feels very much like a complete package, well done

A bit too hard for my taste, but execution works incredbly well and the music sounds really really nice

Not gonna lie, I have no clue about what was going on and the camera felt too dizzying for me. But it's very unique that's for sure, and I really like the look

I'm not too good for these kind of fights, but fun game anyway. I love the use of perspective with the 3d background, makes it very dynamic

Mmm that's good question, maybe I just sucked at it :p But yeah maybe a quick check to make sure there's not a "wrong" letter to close to player at start ? Just to let a bit of air around to begin with could help a lot

A lovely game, I love the palette. So cool to see the monsters jamming almost on synch with the music :p and it was funny both ingame and on your itch page, well done !

Thank you very much !

Thanks a lot ! Too bad for the ball stucked :( this is actually why I added a restart level at last minute because I got stuck myself :D

Reaaally great entry, the palette is super cool and the gameplay is really spot on. And everything looks very well integrated in the 64 resolution. Congrats
