Fun game with nice polish. Awesome solo entry, really enjoyed the audio and graphics.
Thanks :)
Wow! This game is so incredibly charming. I'm a big fan of the music and the art. I would love to see this game go further.
Thanks! That's really grate to here :D
I'm actually considering it. Planned it to be bigger from the start.
And since I imagined this game with a bigger, less restricting resolution, if I continue it, I think I'm gonna go with a bigger one, maybe 256×224 "SNES resolution" or one closer to CD32...something like that, modified to fit 16:9.
It's a very beautiful, solid platformer game. Honestly my biggest criticism is probably that the 'cake monster' looks exactly like the 'cake item' and gets me every time. By the time I realize my mistake, I'm already 1 less health point. Also, having a safe area around checkpoints couldn't hurt so that you aren't immediately attacked. Music is great, gameplay is good and the art is excellent. Great job!
Thanks :)
It looks nice, beautiful backgrounds!
Thank you :)
The graphics looks quite nice and I like the music.
Thanks!
Great presentation! I was really impressed by the looks and sounds.
I might have actually slowed the game down a bit - you can move quite fast relative to the viewport and I was running into stuff.
Great game though! Loved the overall direction and presentation.
Thanks!
I was working with this speed / camera speed ratio so I didn't notice it could be too fast. I might update it after the jam.
This game was very cute and I liked the music! It was a little bit difficult to see the map at times, but overall it was easy to pick up and play :)
Thanks!
Improving my musical skills might be the biggest challenge of the trio (game design / art / music), so I highly appreciate you liked it :)
I think my biggest mistake was that I imagined something with bigger resolution...or at least I "thought" in bigger resolution always by instinct.
I'm thinking about doing a bigger project for Miru but with normal resolution, basically this game on steroids. I'm not sure that something with the scale of a retro platformer game like Shovel Knight would "make it" or not.
Maybe I should improve my skils more first, before moving onto "dream projects" (I have some) and stuff.
I loved the theme and all the details of the map.
Thanks! :)
