Tools
My homemade engine Pebble. This jam was mostly to prove Pebble out.

So cool that you made this in your own custom engine!  It's a smart idea and fits your chosen theme really well.  I liked that each level introduced a new mechanic which meant you had to think outside the box.

The animation is good and readable which is impressive with such small sprites, though a bit of a shock when I accidentally squished the bunny :D

Fantastic!

For my taste, this game is the best I’ve seen so far on this jam. Wasted a lot of time trying to set the bird on fire. It doesn’t burn, does it? And your homemade engine load time make me weep at the size of Godot 4.3 web build.

Thanks! And no, you can’t set the bird on fire (but now I’m kicking myself for not thinking of that!)

Neat! 3 pixel font is pretty hardcore :D

Very fun and relaxing to solve the puzzles! Although it was unclear how the bird AI worked

The challenge was real on the last level. Very cute and enjoyable game. The art is nice and I love how you interpreted the theme.  Great job!

very cute game. Everything felt smooth about the game, would love to see more!

Fun concept and execution, I liked playing as the environment, it was great how concepts were added over time, difficulty ramped up just right. Got a score of 770, I died a lot eheh. Laughed when I died the first time, didn't expect that!

Loved it! Super creative. Each level was really satisfying to finish. The bird mechanic felt good to figure out too (spoilers: It attacks if the rabbit is still, so you can avoid being chased by making sure the rabbit can keep moving, i.e lifting it up on 2 platforms instead of just 1).

Each mechanic that was added felt fun to play around. It always felt good to trap an alligator in a 1-width hole somewhere lol. Great job!

At first I was like "oh, a cute little bunny game", but then a bad bird did the unthinkable and then I was like "oh no!". Still a cute game and the music is very soft. I completed the game though I am not sure under which conditions the bird attacks.

I loved playing this game, it is relaxing and the concept is very original, well done! :)

Well, I sure moved the earth to help that rabbit get the carrot. The game was not super hard as even I managed to solve it, which is a good thing for a jam game. Tbh I wouldn't be able to figure out the bird without reading the comments. Some levels felt very dramatic, there is a preparation phase and timing, like preparing for a space launch. The music when rabbit dies is very touching, in a non-conventional way, feels more like reminder of the fleeting nature of existence than a single rabbit's tragedy, but it's very fitting . In any case, very good entry.

I had fun playing through the game. Very nice mechanic and way to implement the theme. I loved the difficulty progression throughout the level and how the levels let you find different approaches to problems. Sometimes some solutions make me feel that they were unintended, making me feel smart, Like how to stop the pistons on their levels.

That was fun! Took me a good few minutes to figure out how to get my timing right and when to rush it vs take my time. Bird was a tricky opponent!

Good idea. very simple but fun. The game increased the difficulty a bit once the crow showed up.

Like i said when we spoke on discord, I think this is super super fun, unique and super charming. And it's especially mindblowing to me that it was made with a home made game engine made by yourself. Super super well done <3

Really neat idea! There were a few levels where I was able to get through a little too easily but I was very impressed by the number of great puzzles that you were able to make in such a short time.  A lot of them challenged me to think about the situation in a unique way rather that just doing what seems obvious. Really impressive entry, well done!

Amazing twist on the platformer genre and the theme! Took me a while to figure out things, especially the bird, but with a little play around I managed to grasp all the mechanics.

Levels were nice and varied, and the last one was a nice timing puzzle.

Graphically well done, the font I think is a bit too low-rez, but that is the only thing I can bring up against it. Ost was nice, didn’t really started to bother me during the game.

Well done!

A very interesting concept! The puzzles felt nice to solve, and the ground mechanic was utilized cleverly. I had a lot of fun playing!

5 stars. I can't say more... Really really simple but still catching idea. I felt great while was playing, I had fun and laughed when stomped rabbit to the ceiling and saw blood appearing on the pillar (I was not expecting that you can stomp/kill rabbit by yourself 😂) also I had "AHA" moments in some levels which took me some time to realize how to pass them and also I felt genius completing "hard" (on first look) levels by some cheesy/easy way. 5 stars for me.

life is not easy for this rabbit... bravo for the idea of the game and the level design there is a lot of work on it, the chosen theme is well respected... and I must say that it is my favorite kind of puzzle game, the one where we feel that there are several ways to succeed and some dirtier than others... Finally on the visual aspect it would be cool to add visual clues for the players, for example a little smoke before the flames come out, a little thing for the bird before swooping down on its prey and also a little feedback for the players... but hey 19 levels frankly it's cool and it works well.

Hey that’s a good idea! Could do like when you meet the bird’s condition, first he shows a word bubble with an exclamation mark in it or something. Thanks!
