Awesome game, definitely feels like there was some time spent polishing it unlike my own game. (probably because I cramed most of my work into the last 3 days... but it was also the first project I had 'completed' [since it's technically not complete yet...] ;) )
Loved it!
Thanks for all the love guys! =D
Yep, this is wonderful :) I like the character movement, enemy variety, and the powerup progression starting from a user-selected set of character properties. Also, awesome music & nice art. Plays so smoothly with a controller. Nice job and thanks for sharing!
Nice Game, but it's damn hard too, but i enjoyed playing it :D
Nice Game, but it's damn hard too :D
Probably spent more time showing off and rolling and shooting than anything else, but certainly enjoyed this!
this game is pretty damn hard. really like the player selection, simple but effective! the game feels great to play too and the music is bumping. Congrats, great submission
Awesome game, even though i suk at it XDD. The controlls, music, graphics, meta-game, everything, seem on point, good job!
@JackOatley yep there are keyboard controls, you just have to unplug the gamepad and then the game will display them...that's probably a terrible UI design on my part haha. Thanks for the feedback, I suck at reading tiny pixel text so, I made them big in favor of readability over design. Any tiny font recommendations?
Is there in-game keyboard controls to this as well? I had to use gamepad... I don't know if that's the reason I sucked at it so bad, though. I really like the graphics and audio, some of the presentation could use work though. Like having an obvious back button on the menus and using a smaller font for your text boxes; when you can only fit 2 - 3 words there's obviously an issue. :P I know it's difficult at this res though, but worth mentioning.
Great work! Simple graphics but challenging and funny gameplay. Really nice game!
Nice entry! Cute graphics, the music is lighthearted and upbeat, and the gameplay is fun. I had a hard time with some controls, but that's probably because I'm not used to playing sidescrolling shooters like this one. Congratulations!
Oh yeah it was hard but funny, love this kinds of shooters!
@Odd_Mutant I updated the build so you can skip credits and the tutorial! Thanks for the feedback =D
@Odd_Mutant Thanks man! Good feedback, I kinda threw the credits in last minute and didn't even think about being able to skip them...I'll definitely update that post voting.
@Dread Knight thanks man! I'll see if I can't get a linux port up as well, I think I have the gamemaker module for it! =D
This looks really great! Too bad I can't give it a try myself as I'm using Linux xD But will watch gameplay vids soon on youtube.
The shooting feels nice, and the game has some neat stuff going for it. Selectable classes and upgrades? Heck yeah. But for a game that's challenging, I wish I didn't have to see the credits and go through the tutorial (even if I can skip it) every time I died.
Thanks for the feedback! The ledge idea is fantastic, I'm kicking myself for not thinking of it haha =D
A challenging game. I found the auto ledge-grab a bit annoying, it got me killed several times. Making it dependable on key release(for example), would add a tiny bit of depth by giving more options to the player. Good entry.
