Not bad - pretty challenging.
I found the diagonal layout of the streets made me want the input/vehicle control to also respect the same perspective.
That is a good point, I want to try that now.
It might be hard to play that way. Now I want to try some experiments.
I could try that by making the up arrow key take you in the top-right direction and so on... will try.
I never got into games like Desert Strike and the like, but this one clicked for me somehow. It's really great, although the helicopter blade sound got a bit grating the more I played. Definitely one I'd go back to after the jam too!
This one was brutal but I really thing you nailed 'what these games' are supposed to feel like. It reminded me a lot of being a kid in the arcade and pumping quarters into a game similar to this. Maybe it's just nostalgia winning the day with this one, but I enjoyed it a lot!
Cool game. I think enemy bullets are too fast and hard to avoid but nice overall.
