Great entry -really unique gameplay that I honestly can't say I've seen elsewhere. I could only play the Mac build which seemed to not be the pixelated version you mentioned, but other than that, nice entry!

Developer

Thanks that means a lot! My sincerest apologies about the Mac version not being pixelated - we had some issues with porting the correct resolution over and rather than deliver a half-broken experience we decided to just keep with one that works. Hopefully in the future we'll have a pixelated version for Mac! Thank you for playing!

Awesome game man! Definitely enjoyed it, and loved the addition of the excessive blood explosions haha.

Great little puzzler. Enjoyed the look and gameplay mechanics. The difficulty progression felt perfect. My only suggestion is a possible cursor/icon to show where my peon will be moving to (exactly) after clicking. There would be a few times where I'd think I was going to stop in the clear and turns out I wasn't, but that feels nit-picky on an otherwise great entry.

Developer

That's a great idea! Thanks for playing and providing feedback! :D

10/10

Would decimate peons again!

Developer

Hah thanks :)

My poor peons! Hundreds of deaths, and I've still not reached the ending yet. But damn,  this is great stuff. It's rare to see a game jam game that feels so polished and complete. Fresh combination of puzzling and precision, with clever mechanical touches  like (as Steven said) dropped chests staying behind for a few precious seconds. Adorable pixel art, and love the perfectly-matched chiptune soundtrack. Excellent stuff.

Developer

Thanks for those kind words! Very much appreciate it! :D

Fun and challenging game! I included it in my LowRezJam compilation, if you’d like to take a look :)

Thanks for playing! :)

As an update - We've added a 64x64 pixelated build (as we originally intended it to be displayed) - Please try the 'Peons - Pixelated' version to get the full effect of what we created for this jam!

Great game, I loved the art and the character variety.  Having the chests temporarily stay behind after death is a super clever mechanic and it helped me get through some of the harder levels.

Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it! :)

This is a great little puzzle/precision game! I wound up with over 500 deaths, but it was worth it for that ending, lol. Good use of a few goo, simple mechanics to get lots of level variety, with a pretty natural difficulty curve. It won't take long to get the hang of it. I really recommend it!

Developer

Thanks! Really appreciate it! :D

This is extremely hard to play on a trackpad, haha! Fun concept, though, and I liked the pixel art (although you broke the 64x64 rule in a couple ways). The Mac version has some issues opening in the right resolution - I had to fullscreen it again after it mysteriously decided to un-fullscreen itself to a non-square resolution - and some assets were still appearing in the margins and stuff. Cool overall, though, and good sound. :)

Developer

Thanks! For some reason (and it is still a total mystery to me) when we made a build for our game it sort of forced a higher resolution than it should be (which is why things moving look all smooth). In the editor everything is as pixelated as it should be but due to time constraints we decided to just submit what we had even with the bug we were experiencing! Hopefully I can fix this in the future!

In regards to the issues you're having with the Mac build I'll look into that ASAP and try to fix it! Thanks for letting us know! :D
