I love your personality as a designer :') thanks for sharing it through this game. Maybe once I get better at art we could work on something together :O

Yes! This is game is a fantastic example of how from simple assets you can still build a great experience! Got a slight scare when heard the foot step first time, and thought something started walking near me. Levels were just challenging enough for me, and I really enjoyed the messages left all around the game. For some reason switching the light on was a funny turn of events for me :D Great job!

Hey, Thanks for the feedback, Glad you enjoyed the experience the way it was meant to be :D

I like how the game toys with the 4th wall. Also, hyperventilating is OP

quite interesting experience, I was able to "miss" level 5 :D Nice work with the shaders! red eyes got me scared! Pretty good job overall, only jumping felt janky. Very creative.

This game has a clear Stanley Parable/Beginners Guide  vibes. I think with some polishing, additional narrative, and the right angle (explaining what this game is and what it isn't to the players) it could become a hit in certain circles of gamers :)

Developer(+1)

YES! It does. That was sort of the thought process behind the making of this game. Thank you for your kind words!

Quite tricky to rate this as the instructions state that there is a hack and a gimmick for this game. So I  guess I have found it and  exploited the game, but that [SPOILER WARNING] basically removed the connection to the theme from the game.

Hey, Thanks for the feedback. I understand where you're coming from because my first feedback for this game was that I wasn't able to communicate what exactly the game was about to the players & had to make some changes.

To give a better understanding of the game, let's look at it as a whole with the hack/gimmick/easter egg. The game when 'hacked' is taken to the extreme, to the point that the game's identity is in question. (which you did very rightly). There is a very very less chance that any other game in this jam would be doing something like this. I hope to play the games in the following days & find out.

The game isn't really 'hacked' if the game was still playing & following it's core principles would it?
But anyways thanks for leaving the comment & I hope I was able to better communicate what the game is about here! :D
