Cute looking game! I wonder if there is any schema in enemies movement, but nevertheless, avoiding them is pretty fun! You executed a simple idea and made it beautiful and polished ;)

They follow the player's past positions!

very fun and cute idea.  i was hoping to see more variety in the game - additional elements to surprise, entertain or challenge the player.  a health meter that quickly decreases between bites of cheese?  cheese that goes rotten after a few seconds and harms the player?  cheese that speeds up player, shrinks him to get around enemies more easily, gives him temporary invincibility, etc.?  special cheese in hard to reach places, like behind barriers where it's easier to get killed?  i know these are kind of mario-like suggestions, but they're the first ones that came to mind.  :-)

Might implement some of that stuff post jam but not very likely, in the middle of another family health emergency rn. Nice ideas tho.

Simple but pretty challenging gameplay. I like funny animations of the dudes. I'd also divide the infinite enemies spawning to the levels to let a player to feel the goals, maybe with some rewards or room change.

Would like to have done some of this stuff but I only got to spend a few days of the jam working on this and I was basically learning basics of defold at the time. Thank you for the comment on the animations tho! 💛

That's a challenging game! At first it's easy to dodge the enemies, but I never made it past 800 points (usually because an enemy drops right on top of me). Still fun though :D

The reason the enemies can drop on you is they drop where you have been in the past, if you go there again you can be unlucky with the spawn timing.

I do a lot of games like that lol! Just sorta simple concepts. Thank you for the comment!
