Seems like the start of a decent game, but I couldn’t get past how agonizingly sloooooow the player moves. Controls also took a bit to figure out, and even then, wasd and aim-with-mouse isn’t my favorite control scheme by a long shot. (Note that some keyboard layouts have the wasd keys in alternate locations, making wasd unusable for them)
On the plus side, I do like dungeon crawlers, so I gave it a good run until I unexpectedly died…I’m not sure how either. Keep at it and I bet you can make something decent with this.
Other notes: Not a huge fan of jam games packed with installers, but at least I was able to extract it manually via 7zip.
Interesting game. Somehow I died from full from nothing. Not sure why.

Hey, thanks for uploading! I think there are some interesting ideas you have here, and I liked quite a few of the attack styles from what I saw - the main issue is that it seemed like they wouldn't work many of the times. If I ever tried to switch weapons, usually after beating one of the bosses, the attack wouldn't work at all, or did something completely different after I picked it up again.
I tried out all the different loadouts at least once, but the only ones that felt very viable (at least from the cursory attempt) were the Heero and the AI ones (the AI one was pretty fun actually, although the warping with the dash sometimes ended up being difficult to navigate through). The most egregious example was the shotgun one, because it just took way too long to reload for way too little payout. In general the game was pretty slow, and the movement speed didn't feel sufficient to navigate comfortably, position around enemies quickly, or dodge out of the way of bullets.
Overall, I think with a lot more polish this game could be a pretty fun time.

I am 90% sure that weapons, you assumed don't work, are the weapons which need chaining. Essentially, the idea is that you have to activate it again after a short time (indicated by yellow marker under the health bar). But we haven't done any tutorial for it, and it is very hard, so I am not surprised it happened.
Loadouts have different intents behind them:
Main, Heero is your regular jack of all trades.
5 meant to be trap/intercept but it didn't really work out, so I will rework it completely
4 is block, counter and general defense. Assuming you haven't figured chaining out, it probably didn't work for you at all
3 is purely random, but right now "random" is limited to 3 basic skills, so it is not very exciting
2 should be good. It is summoner, and it works as intended (as far as I know). But this loadout is much better late game
1 is about status effects. Probably only build which can win a game, because of some interesting combos
Rys is high skill character, so it is not surprising that teleport matrices aren't the easiest thing to use.
The movement and overall speed will be increased. Also, I think the fact that game has almost no healing didn't help
I have mixed feelings about dungeon crawls, but I usually end up enjoying them, and this one looked pretty interesting.
The graphics are okay. A lot of the sprites seem to be crushed, but others are crisp. I think it would look better if it wasn't fullscreen. The total lack of sound is a huge disappointment, though.
I picked the default character for my first run. Not a fan of the molasses slow movement speed, but there's a boost ability that makes it more tolerable. I made it through the first room, then got murdered by the wedges on chains. I still have no idea what killed me. I didn't see anything hit my character, but I suddenly died. I tried a few more characters but died pretty much immediately with both of them. Some of the attacks some of them had seemed nearly useless, and I'm still not sure how the enemies were killing me.
I think the dearth of animations and the total lack of sound really hurt this game. There's just very little feedback for when your attacks connect or when you get hit.
The dialogue is just okay, but it's an excuse plot so I can forgive that. I do wish you didn't have to skip through it every time.
Overall, I think there are some interesting ideas here, in terms of narrative and gameplay, but the game really struggles to express them. I felt like I was getting a lot thrown at me, that there were fairly complex mechanics under the surface, but they weren't explained and weren't discoverable. The narrative elements mentioned in "How does your game fit those themes" might be in the game itself, but I couldn't figure out where.
This game triggered a warning in my browser when I tried to download it (understandable, lots of things do that) and wanted to run an installer as administrator (not cool). Fortunately, it's possible to just extract the game with 7-zip.

I'll admit I read through the first dialogue maybe to quickly, so if something was in there, I missed it. The icon's were interesting, but I wasn't able to gather what they did and I died before I could explore more.
This could use some more love, but nevertheless you did make it in a month and that's a success in and of itself.
