As a fan of both RPG Maker and worlds set entirely in the sky (I have a similar setting, Azimuth, in which I released a novel several years ago, called Cloudgazer), I have a real soft spot for this one and glad I got a chance to play it.

I was, I will be the first to admit, absolutely rubbish at it; but the scale and scope are super impressive for 2 weeks! There's some nice worldbuilding going on here and the commitment to the palette is bold & distinctive.

I'm not sure if it was a bug or not, but when moving to world map the "cursor" (which I presumed to be my craft) always seemed to start in the top middle, which sometimes made it tricky to keep in mind where I'd come from.

Overall though, it was very likeable and I'll be sure to give it another try (and not get steamrolled straightaway).

The difficulty was intentionally a bit obtuse since I was trying to push item usage, but I think that tends to go against the natural rpg tendency to focus on abilities and attacking, so I'm gonna try to reevaluate how to balance them properly. Thank you so much for the overall compliment! I'm glad the scope of it all managed to be felt despite the brevity!

I reeeealy liked the world map. Along with the music, it just made for a nice time playing. The crafting surprised me, but it was fun nonetheless.

Developer

Thank you! I'm happy the music worked out! The difficulty of marrying the visuals and the audio was something I was worried about for a while so I'm happy they matched!

SUCH A COOL WORLD!!!! I LOVE floating islands so exploring the towns was really fun!!

Developer

Thank you so much! The world was the first focus of my design so I'm glad it paid off!

Couldn't play it all on stream but will definitely continue off stream! Amazing job for only 2 weeks!

Developer

Thank you! It was tough at times but the RPG Maker engine fortunately streamlined a lot things I'd otherwise have gotten caught up on.

I think it takes a tremendous amount of effort to create an RPG using any tool, but I admire the passion that went into creating it in such a short period of time.

The content was very interesting. I played it intently for about 4 hours and defeated the last boss in 18 levels!

Angeline is my favorite.

Developer

I'm glad you liked Angeline! She was the first character I implemented so she's a bit special to me as well!

I liked it!  Fun RPG with a fantastic setting!  The battle screen kind of blended together for me, but I'm not sure if that was the game or just my old eyes.  ^^;

Developer(+1)

Thanks! That's probably because I chose the Gameboy Color's palette, which caused me to reuse the background's colors with the foreground's due to the limited amount of colors on offer, so it definitely wasn't your eyes. I'm glad you enjoyed the setting!

Good pixel art, good music, a bit tedious in some parts, specially with the collection of the crystals, but the really liked the whole idea of collecting mercs, would have liked to gain money from killing monsters or something like that.

Developer

Thanks! I think I tried too hard to enforce a shop vs sell dynamic which came at the expense of forward progress. I'm glad you still liked it though!

I really like the setting of your game, with this sorta terminator vibe the deadlands have :D

For a jam game there also seem to be a lot of content, the maps seem quite big, so i wasn't able to see all the game had to offer :(

However i had a fun time playing this one, i like the spritework and music, and the auto battle system is really a nice and helpful feature for turn based rpg dummies such as myself :p

fun game, good job :)

Developer

Thanks! I'm glad the setting paid off since it was my most major point of focus for a while.

Cute home platform and world map! Seems like an interesting world.

Found it a bit confusing who was who in the battles, and couldn't see an enemy health bar (though I'm not used to this style of game so maybe I was missing something). I lost the game in my second battle on Auto mode :D

Good job!

Developer(+1)

Thanks! Admittedly it is meant to be a bit difficult, but I probably ended up making it kinda obtuse on accident.

Hey there! I tried this out, and I think I may have run into a bug: I got to what felt like an ending trigger (giving an NPC the last crystal fragment), but nothing seemed to happen. Talking to the NPC would prompt to either "begin" or "wait", and both options did nothing.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the heads up! I spent so much time trying to ensure the partner endings worked properly that I didn't double-check the normal ending. I uploaded a second version which hopefully fixes the issue.

I tried the new version and it worked, thanks!
