I love interesting and original takes on mech games especially if they have good humour too. Great visuals, and loved the music.

It took a little while to get use to the controls but I had great fun with this one.

Fantastic work! :D

Well done, a very inventive way to repurpose a mechs weapon systems! The artwork and audio was great, I think I didn't put enough toppings on my first one and I put it in the oven and it disappeared and had a tiny cook bar stuck. Second one worked. Took me a bit to get the hang of it but once I did I was able to bake like a beast! Good work on your entry!

loooooooooved this!!!! such a fun and funny way to explore the abstraction and absurdity of mecha as an idea. so much delightful friction from the simple act of moving. maybe my fave of the jam so far?

i cook-a da pizza

really cool idea. I like the dragon design and how he actually has a body rather than just his neck. The mech controls are a bit weird, specifically the turning mechanic. I think since you can look around freely with the mouse, it throws you off a bit. One idea could be that rather than being able to look all 360 degrees around, you clamp it so you can only look 45 degrees around, and would have to turn the mech to compensate for that. Just and idea.
Also I had a hard time placing the pizza in the dragon's mouth and oven at times, but nothing too bad.

Overall super cool idea, fresh ingredients, spicy mech action.

Best Mechanized Pizza Making Sim !

And i’m definitively the worst mecha pizza maker haha XD

Had real good fun trying this one, the steps felt a bit confusing at first cause i thought once you’ve beat up the dough, you had to squish it with the kick to make it flat but nope, turns out you do this on the plate when spinning it, makes sense once you get it though so it might be more me being a dum dum :p

But really outside of my initial confusion the steps are awesome, and i like how the sauce, cheese and toppings are put using the mech’s guns XD

That poor dragon though, i couldn’t keep up even when i got the hang of it and tried to have some more pizzas ready to cook.

Also the menu music was really awesome and then i got a good laugh at the very stereotypical italian pizza music during gameplay, brilliant XD

Overall great job to the team :)

How can you not love a game which has a cheese machine gun and top notch soundtrack! Great job!

Love the idea and the music is a nice touch. I never realized I wanted a machine gun that can shoot cheese but now I do!

The controls could use some work, not sure if they were tank controls or not and it seem the camera can only rotate as far as the mouse can reach the sides of the screen? Lastly I would add some invisible walls to prevent the player from falling off the platform.

Great work!

Idea was pretty great, but the controls need a little work. The direction controls being locked to the original POV is a bit distracting. Almost got the pizza out, then it fell through the floor of the oven.
Sorry big fella, I tried (lol). All in all, great job and keep goin!

Questo videogioco è fantastico, grazie!

What a nice idea! :) Mecha rotation was a bit confusing, but it is mecha after all. Not everyone is able to control it!

Really really fun, movement was weird and that's my only complaint, everything else? *chefs kiss* Great job on this, I'd even love to see this idea expanded

Great concept and surprisingly intuitive systems! It took me a bit to figure out what I was doing, but once I did, it was easy to get into the swing of things. The dragon having its mouth wide open at the very back was a very nice touch--made me immediately aware of what "serving" the pizza meant! The classic pizza-making music was a great touch as well!

I played this one on stream. VOD here: https://youtu.be/wlr1r0gS4Uk?t=1101

"Waiter tried to serve me a burnt pizza so I spat it back out at him. Clearly this mech pilots first day making pizza. " -Dragon (probably)

I was laughing the entire time playing this. This was an incredible game to play. Top marks all around.

Would love to see this with co-op and all the mechs adding even more chaos to the kitchen.

Mamma mia, I love it.

Music is absolute S tier! As soon as i started the game i was groovin lol. Mech controls i struggled with a bit as turning felt a bit odd, but i love the overall idea of the game and i thought the dragon was cute! The constructive criticism would be in regard to movement if you didnt use q & e movement felt very rigid, maybe have movement in the direction the camera is facing, but slow it down? I hope this helps!

I also loved the spinning pizza that was great :)

Such a fun and creative game! Felt like it had just the right amount of "silly simulation clunk" for interacting with the world without ever feeling frustrating. Loved the music as well. Nice job!

Love the goofy feel of it, down from the concept, the music and visuals such as the dragon. Tank controls are a bit awkward for me but I imagine for people used to it in games it's not too bad. As I said, I love the goofy feel, and its different from the general idea of a mech game where it would be action, shooter, war themed etc.

Personally not my cup of tea but neat project.

It did take me one round to figure out how the gameplay works but after that it was a lot of fun.  The mech feel of movement was a nice touch.  The different arms to do tasks was very cool.  The toppings gun did take a long time for the reload process.  Overall quite fun.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! I’ll definitely keep pepperoni reload time in mind if we do any changes, I realize it can probably be annoying to have to wait for multiple reloads just to get enough pepperonis on the pizza when on a tight time limit. And I’m glad to hear you liked the arm tools too!

I really, *really* loved this one. One of my favorites of the Jam.

You really got the "mech-feel" down; I know some people had some issues with it, but the inherent "clunkiness" and weight of a mech is what really sells the whole giant robot thing, and you nailed it. On a feel level alone, yours goes a bit above and beyond.

The... weapons, lets say, all feel pretty good; I feel some audio feedback would be nice; the topping gun is a good example, having that big, heavy grenade-launcher thud to it. Having that with the Cheese Gun and Sauce Gun would be nice, especially since they both have great animations behind them (especially the Cheese Gun. I love that thing so much)

Only other issue I had was some collision issues here and there when dropping the pizzas; I lost a couple to the Oven Void. I could really see this expanding in fun ways if that's where you'd wanna take it; even if not, it's really wonderful as is. Great job!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing and I’m glad you had fun! Clunkiness was definitely part of what we were going for with controls, we wanted it to feel like operating heavy machinery, so I’m glad that was conveyed. I did the modeling, texturing, and animation for the “gun” tools, so I’m glad to hear those called out specifically!

Host(+2)

The most fun I have ever had making pizza virtually! Really cool game.

Developer

Glad to hear you enjoyed our entry! I took a look at the steam video you put up of you playing it, I do realize the tank-like controls can be tricky to get used to, but it was great to see that you looked like you were definitely getting the hang of things by the end. Thanks for playing!
