How is your game meta (within each relevant category)?
It's a game that takes a collection of every game genre we could think of then we have fun with them by remixing them with ducks and presenting them in these 5 seconds slices.

some of the few games we make fun of
Flappy Bird
Japanese Dating Simulator
Pong
Frogger
Dungeon Crawlers
Space Invaders
Dance Dance Revolution
Asteroids
Fruit Ninja
Super Mario Brothers

There is also this minigame called move your mouse where at this point all the minigames at this point have been with the mouse and keyboard, so you never really use your mouse until you are presented with a minigame of a COMPUTER MOUSE and the TEXT that says : MOVE.

It's up to the player to connect that for once they have to move their hands from the keyboard onto their mouse.

Please list any pre-made art/music/other assets that you used.

Unique retro art style, nice humor and tons of minigames. What can you ask for?

Check out the Le'ts play video I made!

Developer

Thanks for the comment and video. :)

This is beautiful.  I love the concept, I loved the execution, very well done and super fun!  I would like to see more done with this and I'll play again if there's any more updates in the future!
I did lose on a stage I completed, the DDR parody, very sad!

Great job!

Developer

Thanks! If you want to see more done with this game, then you're in luck! We've got plenty in store for more updates ;)

We'll look into the issue you had with the DDR stage, thanks for letting us know about it!

I've seen this game submitted to three separate game Jams now, is that allowed? Seems a bit against the spirit of game jams in general to me, or is this standard practice? I might be wrong (game jams are new to me) but I really don't know where this falls on the ethical spectrum :S No offense intended.

Our group comes from the first heart jam, and after it was finished we thought it fit the themes of meta and April fool jam since it is trying to be over the top with humor and is a game about games.

Honestly the main motivation for me was getting more feedback from people helping us to improve our little game to keep it getting better.

Yeah fair enough, I wasn't try to offend you or call you guys out,  I understand wanting to get as many eyes on it to help keep improving the game.

Developer

no problem, by the way tell us what you liked about the game and what you wish it could have done better, maybe something specific from a mini game that you liked and something from a game that you think could use some work work.

I did for your heart jam submission :)

I love the art and animation a lot!  Parts had me crackin up too -love the humor!  Great music and really fun -awesome work! :D

thank you very much, glad you had a blast playing !

Very groovy music work! Animations are also sublime to watch. Must have been challenging to squeeze so many different genres within a single jam entry as well, kudos! One nitpick if I had it would be that the repetition of facing the same castle/cave section at the end is a little jarring, otherwise this was really fun to play!

Developer

Thanks! Most of the music is made by OCRemix, and all credit goes to them for it :)

Also, we're already working on some new bosses and additions to the game in general coming very soon, so keep your eyes peeled on our store page for that update :D

It's quite fun and creative! Very good job.

Couldn't play the game. I'm on Mac OSX 10.9.5. The game didn't even start.

Developer

Oh no, I will fix this ASAP, thank you very much for the feedback I'll message you the second I have it working

MAC OS INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS

First method: Right clicking the original app, and clicking “open”, which should prompt them saying “this app is from an unidentified developer. Are you sure you want to open, yes.

Second method: Right click on the application, click “show contents”. Then copy the “Contents” folder that it shows you. Create a new folder on your desktop and name it whatever you want. Paste the “Contents” folder into your new folder. Add “.app” to the end of the name of the folder, and select continue. The new app you created should now work

Thanks for the fast reply! Unfortunately, the game still crashes. It's not the "unidentified developer" thing, it does show the GM logo, and then crashes.

Very nice pack of different game challenges, with great graphics and sounds/music. A lot of classics revisited, here ^_^

Developer

Thanks we're all fans of old games so we thought it'd be fun to remix them
