REALLY cool minimal design!  That is super impressive how you do so much with so little.  I particularly love the way you spawn the enemies, especially the red zombies.  Hit detection could use some work and it could also use some kind of map or tile variance  to help with visual navigation.  Nice entry!

ART

Loved the look of this the animations were adorable! camera coudl have been zoomed out a little, just to see below and to help with figuring out where you were.

SOUND

Music was really nice - some of the transitions could have been smoothed out a little as they were quite jarring.

GAMEPLAY

FUn the Jump felt reeeeeally great! there is something off with the fighting though, sometime I swing and nothing happens which in the locked rooms leads to death and sadness :) other things I don't think that enemies should get I frames where they are recovering, seems unfair to the player.

OVERALL

Charming little game well done! Great job on Submitting :)

Definitely need to consider the camera more next time.  A number of people have commented on it. The music transitions were something I planned only if I had enough time left as I didn't really know how to implement the feature (at least not in a simple way). I proud of the jump though I wish I added more platforming movement mechanics.

In regards to the the attacking, there's a delay before you can attack again, which is standard for games but seems was a little too high here as you're the first one to say it felt like you couldn't attack. My question is did you know it was a delay before you can attack again or did it really feel weird, like you couldn't attack again?

Regardless, thanks for the feedback. I enjoyed your game too.

It felt odd, as the animation still plays

Developer

Oh, that's not what I thought you meant. Might be a  bug or something.

Really cool, I really like the style, I did notice the sword sometimes didn't swing, but other than that, great game, good job!

Developer

Sorry for the late reply. Thanks for the feedback.

Very pretty aesthetics, loved the pixel art, loved how it gets dark and the music changes at some places, very awesome.

I didn't feel like there's a progression curve tho, 30 seconds in and I was already stuck at a big fight against several zombies.

Thx.

Doing it again I would design the levels differently as to stop people from potentially going straight to the second area with out any experience in the first. A friend who play tested the game also did something similar.

I like the simplicity of your game. I joined roughly halfway through as well so I went with simple too. I think the camera is a little too zoomed in which makes it hard to see anything that may be dangerous. It would also be nice to implement a checkpoint system.

I played your game, I enjoyed it.
