Hey looked at it for a minute or two, will come back and give it a proper test run 3/5 on first impression!
Check out Chick-Magnet and give it a rate/comment if you have the time!
(The WebGL is more up-to-date but wasn't included as a Jam submission) Thanks, GameDev&Design
Nice game. I like the pixel art & theming. This isn't really a metroidvania game, but it is a fun platformer.
Yeah, I tried to make a metroidvania, but I was bad at the cool camera system that I had come up with, so I just made it a normal platformer. Thanks!
Simple, but a very good start and fairly bug free. Cute pixel art style, too! As for the tile seam someone mentioned... I remember having this problem with Unity a few years ago and it wasn't a problem with my tile art, but an issue with Unity settings. There are some good Youtube videos that can teach you how to remedy this for your future projects. Keep up the good practice!
Thanks!
I really like the art style. It is very adorable and cohesive. The music fits well, too.
Unfortunately it is very short. Would play more of it, though.
Thanks! I am currently working on improving it!
Looking forward to seeing more of it
Thanks!
Here's my review and rating of your entry!
Thanks for the feedback! The reason it is so short was because I only started on level design 6 days before the deadline.
No problem! Yeah, sometimes its hard to allocate enough time to work on game jam entries.
Very cute entry!
I love the look and feel of this game! I hope that you add more onto it because I feel like you have a solid base here, either to do an actual Metroidvania, or a platformer, or really anything from this point!
The controls are very solid, and I think the level design is very good too!
Only thing I saw is that there was a seam between two textures/blocks pictured below. Also, at least on the main menu, the X in the top left does not seem to do anything.
Thanks I noticed that too! I just didn't know how to fix it without making it darker. Thanks for the nice comment!
