Really great and unique style!
Unfortunately it's a bit difficult, some way of healing would go a long way to fixing that (unless it already exists and I just missed it, which is entirely possible). I'd also recommend you put the control's in the game's page, I thought I had missed something early on until I realized by chance that you start with a double jump.
Curious to see where you take this, if you continue development. Overall solid entry!
there's some cool ideas here, i like the narration and the main mechanic with the ink. i also like the idea that there isn't combat, unless there is but there's no sort of information about controls on either the page or in the game that i could find so i'm not sure. i like the art for the character, going for the ink brush look to it which i think is cool and fits the theme. there's a lot of blind falls and a single hit from the enemies sending you back is strange since it encourages you to cheese them by just jumping over and over and also defeats the purpose of having a health bar. it's also very easy to lock yourself in the room where you get the ink. the ink being on a recharge after you land might work better than the refills. i really like the idea though, i think you could pull a lot of cool mechanics from the theming so it would be a cool one to continue!
I played the html version of this and has some issues, like the character sprites turning into black squares at certain times. But I liked the style and the voice dialog. I wasn't very good so I didn't get very far, but I would have liked to play more.
I had this issue as well
the platform rotations were kinda confusing but in the other hand the black & white drawn sprites are really cool
I liked the art style and platform ability. I think it bugged out a few times, occasionally I couldn't make platforms and had to die to fix it. Not a fan of the leap of faiths (having to jump and hit a platform off bottom of the screen that you don't know is there until you try.
Nice little platformer! I love the ability to create your own platforms. Would love to see more.
