very smooth platformer, I wish the lava was implemented a little bit more though but otherwise, solid entry
it's a really good game the controls are amazing and creative good job
Really liked the way the new upgrades allow you to go further in the other direction each time!
Liked the game concept !
i really liked the concept of a time-is-limited metroidvania where you gotta go fast :D i think you did a really excellent job of capturing the metroidvania feel in such a small game, it felt so satisfying to grab a powerup right before the timer ran out and have that for the next run. it was really fun to unlock new parts of the map too!! overall i echo what others said about this game being really polished and feeling very complete and self-contained for such a short jam!!
Yeah this game was actually really enjoyable for me :D I loved the idea of obtaining new abilities each run
Cool metroidvania
The camera move to change scenario is cool, liked it
I liked how you used the mechanics to make the player move around the map. Good game!
I actually beat it... I think. Or I got eaten by something. I don't even understand it. lol
I like that we keep our upgrades after death/reset. Very nice and simple. Great entry.
I really liked it, the Atari vibe was very good, the concept of the game too, a good implementation of a short metroidvania, with powerups that change the gameplay. but the movement wasn't that good, I missed a "coyote time" in the jump, and when I picked up the glider it became more difficult to control. In the flying part, I got stuck in the two parallel spikes and couldn't get through. Overall it's a very good game, a little more polishing will be perfect.
Amazing game, the mechanics are well executed and the final twist got me, I really enjoyed it, good work!
That was an awesome game, I really enjoyed the metroidvania feel.
The screen transition made me feel sick XD I would like it if the transition were smoother, but other than that the game is great well done
Really cool game. I loved the retro feel and it was unique with the powerups. The controls felt great throughout. Overall really good job. The flying was quite difficult though
Really great game, I'd say one of the best of the jam, just really well constructed. I enjoyed the metrovania feel, the flying was a bit tough but otherwise really enjoyed it. Good luck with the Jam!
I like how you got the metroidvania feel in with such a small time to complete. Great art aswell. Very well scoped, felt super polished
adore the graphics and i love how the gameplay changes with each powerup, the ending was unsettling like wtf was that thing, but i loved it. my biggest problem is the theme of lava and the limited time kinda just feels forced in, overall fun to play, would love some kind of larger game made with this concept
Very good and with satisfactory mechanics. The constant change of upgrades makes the game a lot of fun. The graphics are simple but very beautiful. I loved the game!
I was very impressed how the camera moves between scenes. I really liked how simple and good the art is. Unlocking items to go farther was satisfying as well. My only critiques are that the music loop seemed short, and the flying part to get through the hole felt a lot harder then the rest of the game. Loved that ending though what a cool way to reward the player.
This game was a good time. I do have a couple comments though, 1. 'the flappy bird' section was irritating, almost in a good way but maybe a little too much, 2. the use of the theme and prerequisite where spot on. 5 stars on enjoyment nonetheless!
